Got a sim spec to this TV, 55inch philips with the Ambi amazing TV, wife use to have alot of headaches with the older big TV but the ambi she doesnt as it helps on the eyes blend the picture......

"less headaches" = winner!.

The only thing i can moan about it, netflix app on it is abit tempermental at times, but not a problem since sky have net flicks now. so hopefully the newer version has sorted that issue out.

New software update now has Freeview play on Android TV platform for 2019 sets and onwards.
I have this TV and are really pleased with it, but recently it won't connect to the Internet randomly. I have an Ethernet cable connected but I get random messages saying that it's not connected when it is. Wifi some times works and other times it does not.

I am currently discussing this with Philips technical support. Word of warning if you do ever need them, you would be better off talking to yourself. They are utterly useless and at times rude.

Heat for the deal though.

What's the difference between this and the Momentum monitor?
Whats the difference between this one and the one I just purchased for £381.00 on the BT offer a couple of days ago?

Main differences i can see is today's model is a slightly newer model and runs the Android interface on the TV whereas the link you have provided does not.

I have the 58" 7304 and iPlayer, ITV, All4, My5 all work, I don't understand why this would be any different?
I can live with that, thanks.Still surprised it's that much more expensive for such a small improvement.
Is it worth waiting for OLEDS to get cheaper like the LG C9? Anyone know the refresh rate of this one?

I'd say so. OLED is a big step up. I'm on a 2016 Panasonic and I've been tempted many times but the difference isn't worth it I'd say.
Do Philips still manufacture their own panels?
I get tempted every time I see a TV deal posted on here, especially when it has Ambilight but I've told myself that I should wait for ps5 comes out before I update my 2009 Sony TV!
Is it likely that costco/richer sounds will have this tv at the same or lower price in the coming weeks or months? Want a 55” ambilight tv but holding out for the best price and warranty I can get 😬

Actually, an update has recently been released which adds Freeview Play, including all catchup apps. I have this TV, so can confirm all are now on there and working.

Main difference is OS, this one has Android, and 6754 has Saphi. with Android you can control TV with voice and more apps support.

Have you checked if there’s an update available for your tv ?
Thanks

Last few days.

I grabbed the 50" + soundbar deal from Amazon a couple of days ago for £399.99. I've got the 55" 6753 (saphi, not Android) of last year's model in our lounge, the lack of catch up apps put me off going for the Android one last year and I read that Android TV was unable to support refresh rate switching, so need to test all that when it arrives.

I'm not sure where that says that the TV has freeview but I'll take your word for it, so thanks.

They all work fine for me
I’d never buy a phillps telly again
EVER!
Amazing tv for the price .. very good deal

Is there a newer model of this or this is the latest model ?
Do they the ambi with Oled? That must look amazing ?
How much was this tv when it came out ?
Is the 55PUS6704 any better ? Big difference ? That’s cheaper
Can get this for under 350 ? Think that bid wins ?

Thinking I should hold out replacing current LCD Sony bravia kd49d8088 for an oled when the price is right. But then hear stories of screen burn on those, true?
This then becomes tempting...
