Well, you could get two of these for the cost of the 70R so depends whether you’re going to spend all your time in a dim room watching dark movies and tv shows.
I've been looking into Philips TVs recently as have fallen in love with Ambilight. During my travels on the internet I came across a new product that is going to be released in Jan 2020 in the UK called the Philips hue sync. It basically sits between HDMI ports on your TV and gives non-ambilight TVs ambilight abilities (you still need to buy bulbs/lightstrips too).

So just thought I'd bring awareness as it opens up all TVs if you are set on getting something with Ambilight. The downside is it only works on what comes through HDMI, so in built TV apps won't work with it. So the Philips TVs still have that trick up their sleeves.

Philips have an LG-panel OLED TV which has yet to be discounted with ambilight too. I think I'm going to wait until that starts having offers as the Philips range seems to have offers frequently.
Any deals for the 7 series with Android Tv likely?
hdmi 2.1 ???

I’m going with QLED.

Do the newer ones work with the One Connect box? I know it's not included, but that would be a huge plus for me.

Don’t think they do mate.
Same price on Amazon
Not bad for the money but I'd want a genuine 10but panel. Plus the brightness of this TV's HDR isn't great.
Does anyone know if there is one with freesat built in does Philips do one?
This is from 2016, what happened to Ambilux ?
I bought it, will be upgrade from 55inch LG lb730v, hopefully worthy upgrade
If you got your TV on a cantilever bracket and slight pulled out and tilted....... How well does the ambient light still shine on the wall? Is it probably better suited when it's completely flat against a wall?
VA or IPS? Great deal if VA.

But it's going to cost over £200 and is available now in the USA... www2.meethue.com/en-…512
Wait for Black Friday? Hmmmn
I'd recommend the 7xxx over this. I have it and it's great, although hard to get colours accurate if you're into any professional photography/video work.

I was wondering this the other day... looks very cool but they seem to have killed it off.
What's the warranty with this TV?
Hi. Anybody know how well this compares to LG 65UM7400PLB 65” Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV. Both prices the same by curry’s
Thanks
Anyone know if this passed 5.1 through the optical out?
