Yeh I put price watch on it and got an alert.
I don’t have the money to spend on a TV just yet, got other house work to finish off first.
Will hold out til Black Friday or even Xmas.

@krizw is that unique to Android or Philips?

Regarding thickness, why does that matter to wall mounting? Also I would have thought a bigger gap between back off TV and wall provided wider effect for Ambilight
Hot from me, bagged one.1 left now...

Bought last years version of this (7303) during Prime day and it has been fantastic. My first android tv, I was expecting some lag but it’s actually quite snappy. The smart remote developed some rattling noise but Philips replaced it for free. Ambilight has been exceptional.

Integration with Google home is ok (you can turn tv on/off and control volume with your voice commands) but sometimes you have to say a mouthful or occasionally GH can’t find the tv. But not essential for me

I think Sony Android TV's have catch up apps.

Yes I have a Sony Android TV.
I’ve seen All4 My5 and ITVhub on there but never used them as I don’t have a terrestrial aerial connection. They all need one for setup, except iPlayer
Last stock one grabbed, now moved to 1-3 month shipping, but importantly... price has stayed loony low!!

Tempting, if they will only debit funds when in stock

They do, the gateway auth £0 is always taken, card working or not, with or without credit, then the balance is taken after the stock is allocated to the people buying anything, not all the time, but nearly all the time!

Also it will be nowhere near 3 months as they have already got the stock allocation, it's just not be allocated or entered into the sysyem, 1-3 months is normally about 3 weeks ish

Lorra, lorra TV for the money!!

Nice spot!
Is HDR10+ a true HDR10 or HDR8 with emulation please?
55" version = £1110. Wtf?!

It’s probably the Ambilight which stands out as a feature.

But if there’s a true 10bit 100hz 65” panel for under £1000 then please share the deal

£20 more and you have 120hz panel
prcdirect.co.uk/sam…tml
Thats why i returned my Philips last year, no catchup apps other than BBC and it was too thick to wall mount, maybe the new 04 series (2019) will be thinner!

Just plug in a Now Tv smartstick without signing up so you can use the apps.

Or £50 less if bought via the Samsung discount site

Is it definitely 120hz panel?
Bought the 7303/12 last month (£769) and pretty blown away by the picture, the Ambilight is great (thought it was just a gimic) - replaced a fully calibratednPanasonic TX 58DX802.
Should be relatively easy to extract the app from a shield and side load onto this, unless the Phillips software blocks sideloading?

If it's a shield TV app then it may not install due to the different framework.

Yeah mine came last week. It's a beast. I didn't measure anything before ordering it, it was an impulse purchase. So far in very happy, picture is brilliant, and the ambilight is just what I was hoping for.
However I'm having a few teething problems with it. It sometimes flips between sources and won't show my STB on start-up, so I have to restart it. It also keeps waking my PS4 which is plugged into my amp. These are minor issues I'm sure I can find a fix for, or will be fixed in an update.

Cheers. Well TBH with the Chromecast built in, it kind of solves any issues with smart features for me. I don't need the apps on my TV, I'll cast them from my phone. All4 and iPlayer have stalled trying to start a stream at times. YouTube works well though, and I've uninstalled all the bloatware, I'll look in time at how hard it is to sideload some apps on there to increase my choice of content.
I've just stuck a game on now and it does really improved the ambiance.

Yes there's a setting on the ambilight for games it's a really punchier and brighter and it switches colours more of a smooth snap then just the smooth shift top when bullets fly past
back in stock folks, for an extra £1
hope it holds this price for another couple of months or so and then drops during back friday week
I have a Philips. Good price, OK picture, Android TV is awful. Buy this only for the ambilight, any other reason and you are fooling yourself.

Must be an issue with that you're streaming, or your set. YouTube works fine, and apart from bake off, so does everything else on All4

Just YouTube. Netflix won't stream from the assistant.
I've sent them a video as per their request. That's was around 2 months ago when I first picked up the set.

I wouldn't buy another Philips TV.

Well in the interest of fairness I've just given this a go, as I don't really use the assistant. I said "play orange is the new black on Netflix", and it brought it straight up within seconds. Maybe that's not what you mean, but if there's anything you want me to try, give me a shout.

That is exactly what I mean in regards to Netflix, that also worked when I first turned it on but doesn't anymore. Perhaps I should get a new copy? Can you turn your set on with chromecast? If mine is off too long it no longer appears as a cast device.
Umm I know I've seen it appear on my list of cast-able devices when switched off, but to try it properly, when I'm back in, and it's been off for a while, I'll see if it works.
There's an update available (I had to manually check, it didn't tell me), give that a go and see if it helps.
Anybody here send their TV back?
Seems to be one available on warehouse deals for £808
