Yes it’s not the usual £25ish but since the lockdown it’s never been below £40 or in stock.
New model is out but around £80-120 , won’t make much difference in trimming tbh ..

I agree. Just depends what you're cutting. He says after cutting his lip while trimming his beard this morning.
Not been £25ish since March
Could've sworn i bought this for £20 or £25 off a sale from £30 - did the price go up? Nevertheless good trimmer

Got it at £20 a while ago, works amazingly well for me! Managed a few fairly decent lockdown haircuts with it

Had this since end of 2018 and use it as a beard trimmer. No issues with it and battery lasts ages. Was a bit cheaper then at £25 but still a great price today.
Picked one up yesterday. Have some heat!
Had this for over a year. Amazing battery life and no cuts. No idea what other people are going on about..

I thought big retailers weren't allowed to bump up prices like that though, otherwise toilet tissue prices would've increased in supermarkets as well. Pretty sure there was some sort of consumer law that stops stuff like that happening. Maybe mine is a 5000 or 6000 series then

Really I never fort you could that’s amazing
Bought the last time it was on offer around £25 to replace my previous Philips trimmer. I’m very impressed with this, good for stubble etc but also light haircuts!
Another thumbs up for these, Good trimmers.. Had mine bought as a present when they were £20 at Argos a while ago..
Hey OP, you said new model is out, do you have a link to the newer 1?
Not available for Click and Collect or Delivery for Harrow
Best trimmer
Got it on last July.Reasonably quiet and cool running.
Bought it too and very pleased and happy with it. This is my second purchase as i’ve bought the 12 piece one and left it back home in Romania. Great quality 💓
I got this during lockdown. Missed this price and had to pay £50. Reviews were good and the battery is good and fasts quickly. The downside is I feel like it doesn't cut as well as my last trimmer. I've been nicked a few times
Please could someone having this comment on how good this is as a hair clipper? I'm only interested in a bog standard haircut. Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure you're wrong. Its a supply and demand issue. Granted its wrong and immoral to raise the prices as they have. But they all have to some extent when the demand outstripped the supply. Any basic observation during this COVID 19 period would have exposed that reality to you. And there was never a toilet tissue shortage. So prices never raised. It just had to be dragged out of storage and was selling faster than restocking could keep up with.

Not sure what u be doing. Trims chest hair with ease, like slicing butter with a knife. Also feels premium. An incredible 2 hour battery life, 1 hour for a full charge, good looking design, versatile, comfortable in the hands and last but not least cuts hair effortlessly. Just buy it.

I have one. It's not a hair clipper for your head. Body hair and facial hair. Possibly if you have very very short hair. But an inch or more and this ain't gonna cut it in both senses of the word. Plenty of hair trimmers out there. Find one and when you look at it the difference will be obvious. The metal cutter part mostly.
I have it for some time now. It certainly is not powerful enough for haircuts but it works great for body and facial hair. Always with clippers on. You can go without clippers on the face but it can cut you on the neck area if you are not holding it right.
Not sure what's the "correct" way to use this for facial hair, but consistently got terrible in-grown hair problem a day after using this. Red spots all over.
100% recommend this. The battery lasts forever and it’s a fantastic beard trimmer. I’ve used this to cut my hair during lockdown and it’s definitely good enough for cutting head hair!
I bought this back in Feb and its great! Battery lasts for a long time and lots of different attachments. Great piece of kit, definitely worth it.
