Is this tv any good? In comparison to perhaps a Samsung of a similar spec?

I have the 43 inch version of this and the picture quality is good. The ambilight feature is nice too. Like all VA panels (which this is) the viewing angle effects the perceived colours. The bigger the viewing angle the more washed out the colours look. But from directly in front and 30 degrees either side the colours are fine.
This or the hisense from richer sounds for £399?

I have the 43PUS7383/12. Which is the same spec as the 7303 but slightly different coloured frame. I got it from AO for £369.

Any good???
Hot heat added, bought the 55PUS7383 a while back and very happy with the tv
I have the 55inch paid £400 off amazon 5 months ago , very happy with it , love the ambilight, x
Excellent TV, I love the effect you get from the Ambilight, the picture seems bigger, more "life" to it. Downside are the available native apps, not that much freedom, but this can be remedied with an external 4k solution from eBay or Amazon.
I have had this TV for about 2 months. Literally the only things I have found as a negative are the TV guide can be slow to load and sometimes the voice command doesn't work after pressing the button. That's it! Actual functionality is spot on. Picture is great, sound is good, ambilight is a really nice feature (you can turn it off, but you'll miss it!)
I purchased Philips 50 Inch 50PUS6704 Smart 4K HDR LED TV on Monday. Excellent picture quality I had 43 Sony Bravia TV I got two years ago new. The Philips is by far superior I was apprehensive that it would no meet expectations but there was no need. Sound I can't comment on as I run it through soundbar. The back lighting on the TV works really well with the picture on screen its like a extension through the colours very hard to explain. But picked the Philips up for £450. Really happy.

I bought a couple of 43 inch versions for the bedrooms. Brilliant TV.
Xdp
Great tv
I bought the 55 inch model when ebay had the 20% off for this price .
Everything runs very smooth , really good 4K picture on prime and YouTube.
P5 chip is normally in the higher end tvs .
Ambilight is a great feature for certain movies .
Overall very impressed and happy with it . The remote control feels premium with a good voice control option .

£450ish with the 20% off code
Decent TV if you can get it cheap. Android TV doesn't intergrate very well to Google Home. Chromecast Built-In behaves like a seperate entitiy to the rest of the TV, like a different channel. Meaning, if you ask Google to cast to the TV it will cast the cast version of the app, going back won't get you back to the menu, your remote loses most of it's functionality. There are two features that straight up do not work, turn on from cast device and playing Netflix from Google home. I've been back and forth with Google and Philips and they have both said something along the lines of "we don't know, we are going to tell our engineers and they will attempt a fix". At this point I think that actually means "please stop calling us, we cannot fix this".

I'm happy with the picture, the picture could be better. The ambilight is great. Would I buy this TV again? No.
Value call on this.. Nice work OP
I got this TV off AO eBay a few months ago when there was a discount code. I paid £390 for this TV, plus they messed up my order so gave me even further discount.
Does it open flash on browser? Or can u get chrome on it?
Recently bought the 55PUS7383 and must say I’m really disappointed with picture quality. I understand this is common though out the box, can anyone recommend settings please? 🤞🤞

The ones I found stopped the voice control working and still didn’t look that great.

Like others have said, the Ambilight is brilliant and the P5 works well.
I had the fater brother of this and it's quite pants on dark spots I like the ambi light and the chrome cast but picture quality in dark scenes is annoying for a new TV
I have the 65" version... the picture is fine by my eyes,
you can compare pictures on tvs all day long in store the moment you bring it home you wouldnt notice the minor quality differences...
For me the Ambilight makes the tv... i thought it was a gimmick when a friend had it on his...
I lasted about 10 minutes with it off after wondering whether it made that much difference or not...
Worst part is if they stop outting Ambilights on tvs im screwed
is the 2019 or 2018 model?

Any good???

I think it’s good value for money. The picture and features are good enough for me. I wasn’t prepared to spend more on a TV
Bought an open box 55 inch version in April for £370. Absolutely fantastic tv, picture quality is great. Only issue is now and again some of the apps have frozen, quickly sorted but small price to pay. Much better than the 4 year old samsung that i paid twice the price for at the time
Bought this from AO 2 weeks ago for £399. Prior to this I had Sony Bravia full hd 43 inch. While there isnt a huge difference in picture quality(lack of 4k content maybe) the back light is a nice touch. Sony had superior sound comparing to Phillips.
Thinking back If I had to choose again whether to keep the sony and keep 400 or get this one; I would keep the sony and save the money.
10bit (8bit+FRC) 60HZ= cold

I can't imagine that Hisense being as good as the Philips tbh, i'd be shocked if it was close to it
Tempted but the new models have gone on sale in Richer Sounds and no doubt they will go down when Black Friday comes
I have this TV and think it's great. I have two other sets that cost double and still highly recommend the Phillips

watching Samsung UE55MU9000 2017 model?, 9000 series premium panel 120HZ, 2700PQI, real 10bit panel(colors blah blah), £700 with 6 years warranty, 10 years screen burn warranty , you are buying big screen tv to enjoy watching for at least 3-5 years and in near 2020 you dont want tv with such a poor screen, old tech ? yes i agree mu9000 is not best, what you can buy, not highest class, like oled qled, maybe im wrong. No probs since purchase, just perfect picture for money and 120hz 10 bit is something must be for <50 :O) displayspecifications.com/en/…ae8
Just a word of warning - check the box before the courier leaves and reject it if it says 6300 series on the front and back... I ordered this, and it just arrived, however there seems to be some mixup between the seller and amazon, either accidental or deliberate im not sure. (Its got an Amazon inventory sticker with the 7383 model number, applied over a plain white sticker that's been stuck over to cover the actual (6300) model number), but the box printing, and the TV Itself are the much lower model (6300 Series)

I didnt notice in time, and the courier was gone, now Amazon wont exchnage it for the right model, as it is fulfilled by amazon and not sold by them.
You can get a refund, but the price is £130 more now, so cant buy it again.

Out the box settings seem pretty good with prime 4k and YouTube 4K , Netflix picture is good on 1080p .
I haven't changed anything really apart from the obvious ones like brightness and few other minor ones in the basic picture settings .
Maybe try a few forums buddy .

That’s puzzlingly as mine is fuzzy on literally every input. I’d almost go to say my old small cheap Blaupunkt was just as good. A friends two year old Samsung literally blows it away . Thanks for the help and will keep searching.
