I have a question about point 7 👆7: Any other questions ask in comments …I have a question about point 7 👆7: Any other questions ask in comments below....Question is, what does point number 7 mean exactly?

Probably along the lines of lots of questions such as-

Do you have to be a member?
How much is membership?
Is this a vestel?
Is this 10 bit or 8 bit?
What happens if my telly conks out in year 3 and im no longer a member?
What's the refresh rate?
Can I mount this on a wall?
Has anybody got one and what's it like?

And last but by no means least - should I wait for black Friday?
Good post nice points, made me smile

How many dimming zones does this have?

Its direct lit, not fald, these dont have local dimming
Good price, good TV.
Any good OLEDs there?
I’m looking into getting a new tv what’s the newest thing out? Spec etc?
We have a smart Samsung which I believe is led but the colour is going in places

Ok thanks. Avoid these TVs like the plague for me. Will be good for people who only care about size.

Get Samsung QF90. It’s not OLED so no worries about ghosting and has local dimming, so the blacks are on point. Don’t be cheap and get one for £500 the picture quality is day and night difference.

See if the oled b8 deal comes back down in price at Curry's on black Friday, got mine for £770ish, otherwise price was £830. Best set you'll get for under a grand.

Another bargain is the LG 55sk9500 at electrical empire for £696.

Budget?

The Philips 804 oled is the best set you can buy right now imo.

The Philips 7000 series with its powerful P5 processor produces an excellent image.
For a thousand pounds you would be hard pushed to find a better TV unless you went for a tiny 55"

No extended warranty but you can buy a Samsung UE70RU7020 for £774 from various sellers in ebay with the current code. I'm pretty sure all the 70" TV's for sale currently are using the same VA panel.

I have a question about point 7 👆

Question is, what does point number 7 mean exactly?
Might want to put the model number somewhere!

1. Yes, online membership available to everyone for £15. Instore £30 but only for specific jobs, Google it.
3.Dont know enough but you could go to displayspecifications.com for detailed info.
5. Wareanty still valid after membership runs out. Had this confirmed via email.

Edit: it's 60hz and an 8bit panel. 8bit +frc does not make it a 10bit panel which also means not true hdr, but should be decent.

Hi sorry, not trying to sound rude. Was in a bit of a rush and didn't have time to properly read the message. Just thought you might have been looking for some info as I purchased a TV from costco last month and had similar questions. Sorry.

Appreciate that it’s not the same model, but I have a Philips 55PUS6703 a 55” Ambi light TV that I bought from Curry’s eBay in Jan and it’s a god awful TV.

Pic is good, UHD is seemingly not overly better than standard 4K and neither overly better than my 6 year old Panasonic Plasma 1080P when I ran them side by side. But more importantly the software is appalling. Its has catchup TV Freeview built in and works when it feels like it, the iPlayer and all of the others won’t even switch on if you are generally watching a HD channel, typically I find myself having to go on to channel 5 standard in order to get them to open and then not typically first time. When you go to a channel where the programme has started you ”on occasion” get a green button option to restart the show and watch from beginning via Freeview catchup, if this option comes up the I would say you have a 40% chance of it actually working if you then select it.

The remote is so sluggish, just total unresponsive with so much lag, the TV guide cuts off the sound, so if you switch it on you lose sound and picture for what you are watching until you change channel or return to TV. It doesn’t have a page down option on TV guide, so you have to painfully scroll down through all channels to find anything.

I’ve been in contact with Philips customer services since purchasing in January where I have moaned about the crappy software and the engineers play dumb, saying “how odd no one else has had any issues” (bull!). I had a replacement within 8 weeks and the replacement was identical as it’s the crappy software that it comes bundled with. They have issued software fixes via firmware updates and they fix nothing.

Growing up Philips were a brand of regard, inventors of the CD player etc. But their TV from my experience of the 6703 are simply trash! I would never buy another Philips TV after my massive disappointment with the brand and annoyingly all main reviews gave 4 out of 5, focusing on great value for money for the TV panel, but not complaining about what a crap TV it is and how lousy the build quality is. Finally the Ambi light is a novelty at first, but after a few weeks you fail to notice it as you simply get used to it.

Perhaps all Philips TVs are not as bad, but I wouldn’t bank on it.

Most smart systems on TVs are crap. Just buy a 4k firestick
Philips TV are the worst. Discount TVs with a once respected badge.

£1699 delivered
I have a Samsung TV not this one or anything like it but it is pretty good, not 4k or anything, but really works well when I want to watch things on it
I recently got this in the 55inch £505 on amazon, great tv for the price actually, many improvements over the 2016 Sony 4K android tv its replacing, had friends round to watch Rugby and they were asking about the tv and enjoying the picture and ambilight, the gaming mode was also decent on rocket league, only thing I don’t like is the remote, works with Alexa too.
