I'm after one of these but Argos don't deliver to where I live. Boo! Still a hot deal!

The combs move up & down to adjust for cutting length

Is this any good for cutting hair?

...because I find that the ones that adjust aren't as good as the removable heads

beware of this if you're buying for trimming faicial hair, coz its awful. Loses power when trimming longer hair, and it has a 35 minute battery because it takes almost that long to trim your beard.

I wasted £25. i ended up getting a babyliss one (argos item 442/7548) for £15 and it did the job in no time and seemed much more poweful.

hope this helps.

So you wouldn't recommend to use this for clipping hair?

I think that depends. I have one and am delighted with it for my beard trimming and cutting my sons' hair too.

i have one and it is far better than the babylis one imo. i bought the babylis one from argo as they were out of stock of the phillips one and it felt cheap.

the phillips one is robust and i have found the charge to last a long time indeed. the attachments are good too. the only issue i would raise is that if you use it without the attachments - i.e. to shave 'bald' - the bladed side digs into your head as it is quite sharp. in saying thst i manage fine by using it at an angle.

voted cold because it isnt a particularly new deal, this has been this price in argos' catalogue for aaaaaages.

:x:xdont waste ur money on this

Lacks power, and rubbish for trimming beard. Poor product imo.

hey i have just purhased one from argos. anybody who ows it knows if the trimming head is large enough to shave hair? os it more looks like a beard trimmer...

avoid at all costs. had this for just over a year now after a 12 hour charge it lasts 30 seconds before dying and thats with infrequent use! also it cant be used while on charge so its totally useless now.... the cut quality is fine if your not looking for a salon esque finish but generally would give it 4/10...
