he's either implying that ISPs are practically giving them away, so there's no need to buy one OR that he's a thief:pirate:

reviews all state very poor signal strength!

this is not compatible with cable broadband... its an adsl modem router... u would need a standard cable wireless router where u just plug in the ethernet connection from the modem virgin supplied to u to the router and it will send out wireless signal. The router in the deal u would need to plug in your phone line directly to the router and it would work.

Rubbish router and has been this price for months do yourselves a favour and go for a reputable brand that specialize in networking stuff not Philips who have no history or from what i know expertise in the networking world and at £25 there are better routers.

My old philips router was excellent

hi guys,

this router is a CABLE router so it IS compatible with the likes of VIRGIN. i have had the same one for over 4 months currently working with my 'virgin modem'.

I have had very good signal strength - just make sure you set it up properly, it has a few options to extend wireless range e.t.c

i would recommend this (unless of course your walls are 1.5 mtrs thick as my friend found out)

cheers

until next time....

It says it is an ADSL router, rather than cable router, so buyers beware, and check that it's the type that you need, for your line type.

ITS NOT A CABLE ROUTER!

this one has a adsl modem integrated into it... u must have a cable version of it.

Thats right (not the thief part), I have a few in my cupboard that I was going to throw away- surely theyre free from all ISP's if you just ring them and ask
