Great price for a great looking DAB radio. The reviews are great to.

The Philips AE5900/05 uses Dynamic Range Control which adds or removes a degree of compensation for the differences in the dynamic range between radio stations. For example, a station broadcasting popular music may have a high level of compensation applied since the emphasis is on a constant high listening level, whereas a station broadcasting classical music will have little or no compensation as the listener requires all of the highs and lows in the music to define the detail.

(if anyone could explain how to add a picture I will do)

Might be worth keeping an eye on todays emergency DAB meeting to see just how long - and if - DAB radio persists in the UK. Seems most folk don't like/want it and the BBC have arranged secret talks to try to get folk interested. At the moment, though, broadcasters seems to be abandoning the technology in favour of analogue.

With referance to whether DAB lives or dies - let's do to analogue radio … With referance to whether DAB lives or dies - let's do to analogue radio what they're doing to analogue TV - switch it off..... The only way the die hard, live in the past brigade will upgrade is if they have to.

And so say all of us. I've had a Sony DAB radio for 3 years now and it's great. Never want to listen to analogue ever again.
