I picked mine up from Tesco yesterday, haven't tried it yet.

Aside from chips, do you mind if I ask what else you've had success cooking with it? And anything that doesn't work so good?

I go nuts when the missus cooks sausages in because all the crap builds in the bottom and she dont empty after. So when i use it few days later you can bet your life the smoke alarm goes nuts

So it needs to be washed after every use unlike a traditional fryer. I'll remember that. Can you cook sausages and chips at the same time out of curiosity?

At same time? I mean can you layer foods, else surely its difficult to prepare a meat and chips at same time etc.

No, it doesn't need washed after every use, had one of these for a couple of years now, brilliant item, I usually just use mine to heat up pies or make chips, am not very adventurous lol... Heat added

Samosas and spring roll, also potato croquette and crispy American fried chicken are good too..

Cool, good to know. Thanks
good find op, heat
Should have added at the time of spot the label was pretty obscure so any regular shopper would easily miss it, and there were around 6/7 units.

you can cook most things in it , it's basically a mini electric oven , kids love the nuggets in it , scampi and garlic mushrooms are lovely the list is really endless , if you look on amazon loads of questions have been answered about the fryer

Ive got the larger one, i put in two chicken legs and chips, put the legs in for 20 minutes, when it was down to 15 minutes i put the chips in. They werent quite done so i added another 5 minutes.

I tend to find that the other food is a touch greasier when i do it this way, it seems the grease of the meat gets blown onto the chips, though it gives them a nice taste.

Ive used an air fryer now for about three years, one of the best things i ever bought, have used it almost every day.

Yeah it does nugget/frozen chicken goujones etc, incredibly well. One things it does stunning as well, frozen spring rolls. They come out amazing, strange but true.
got mine from tesco last week for £17 and even thou it's not massive it's brilliant piece of equipment

You need to wash it if you have cooked meat in it, just because the fat drains off and will smoke out your kitchen if you dont.

No you cant layer it, it just wont cook. It needs to be spread out.

That's great thanks, just what I wanted to know. Would be a bit pointless if I needed to cook separate or still fire up the traditional oven. Look forward to giving mine a go

you'll never fit one in
Sounds great this does, so I can cook my chicken and sausages then put the cake mix in and have the chips ready for supper without washing it.

May be you should add that you got it for £17 with Tesco club card boost to avoid people going on wild goose chase for it @ £17.

I was thinking that too, but that would only have taken it down to £24.50 surely (since it was £49). So somehow he must have got another kind of deal/one off perhaps.

Ah that's true, though I still consider spending a voucher to have cash value as I've earnt it and it could be used for anything else. In real terms I paid £29 (£20 points doubled to £40 + £9 cash), but I still paid £49 as I could have bought anything for £49 instead of this.

Again, you would struggle to fit one in

They make good crash test dummies.
this sold out quick at this price at currys
Had mine from Amazon a week ago and it's fantastic, I've tried cooking most things and they've done well, did lamb chops earlier. Done sausages, bacon, pies, chips, wedges, roast potatoes, nuggets, fish fingers and they've ask come out well, I put the tray and basket in the dishwasher after. Only wish it were the bigger one
Where I get this deal?
I purchased three of these from Tesco but will be returning them as the frying baskets are so small. I was hoping these were going to be Christmas pressies
Cannot believe the original RRP on these things though, how is £200 justified !
