Did we establish that Saphi OS is good or rubbish?

It is like marmite - some love it, some don't.

Rubbish IMHO. Tried it. Avoid if possible. Essential to use a third party option for smart features using up one HDMI port. Bear in mind most of the 6 series only have 3 HDMI ports as well, so limited options to expand, especially if you plan on using one for ARC with a soundbar.

Regardless, this price is decent price so might be ok for someone.
Eg:secondary TV in bedroom or something, or if you don't mind making major compromises. Heat added from me.

Rubbish!!
Only Netflix and Youtube are there.
No Disney+ ,now TV or spotify.
Avoid.
I have this model.
Only one good thing about that TV is ambilight. Poor IPS panel.
Probably better to add some £££ and buy 50 inch version with VA panel.

Saphi is excellent, so quick and responsive and easy to use, very impressed with it. Obviously nowhere near as many apps as android. Absence of Spotify or anything else not a massive deal as you can cast from phone to tv anyway and the casting is super quick. You can also Spotify through the TV's web browser. Alternatively the Roku stick is your friend.
does it support plex yet ?

thanks

Really?! My experience was the exact opposite. Slow and sluggish in everything. From opening apps to changing sources. Also had issues with the TV freezing in apps and I had to restart the TV by pulling out the plug on multiple occasions.

What TV do you have? Is it an OLED model that has a more powerful processor and more memory? The one in the 6000 series is weak.

I had a 6000 series that I had to return because of Saphi OS being crap. Bought an 8000 series with Android TV and am happy with it.

I can’t believe the people who say this is bad because of the built in apps. A tv is an endpoint device , you don’t expect
Speaker to have Spotify built in. Many companies only support the apps for 18
Months to 2 years, they are then obsolete and you need an external
Box anyway. I am fed up
With companies that don’t invest and test their interfaces and Os’s. Would rather have monitor/
Lower price tv and a good external well
Supported device fire stick ,
Apple Tv etc

Really, I'm very surprised, weird, no I have the 6754 in 65inch and it is very responsive, never crashed once. It's based on Linux so should be good! I really like the menu system after getting used to it with so many configurable options.

The worst thing about it is it has some light bleeding around edges which you only tend to see on a certain screen when room is dark.

Didn't go for Android as I'd heard it was really slow and didn't have freeview play at the time, although I understand now that it does. I guess with every TV manufacturer you can get a good and bad one even with Sony, LG, Samsung & Panasonic
Just to clarify, is there any way that I can connect my Spotify account to this TV?

You will need a third party option like Chromecast ultra, Amazon Kindle stick or apple TV box as Saphi TV does not have the app.

Also. important to note that the TV still doesn't have Disney+ for the time being.

That’s helpful, thank you. Is it likely that they’ll upgrade the software to include Disney+?

Does the newer android model include Spotify and Disney+?

No idea if and when they will make Disney+available. The fact that Spotify is still not available after such a long time kind of sucks but Disney is a big streaming service so they may push it out at some point.

Android has both and it's more likely to have new apps sooner than Saphi TV. Disney+ was available from day 1 as far as I am aware on Android.
Made my mind up for me. Thanks.
Lol people complaining about the apps, just wha I in a Kodi enabled firestick and save yourself all the subscriptions to boot
One of the questions in the Q&A is about the warranty - it appears it may only be 2 years if bought through Amazon so worth double checking with Richer Sounds before purchase.
