I think this isn't as good of a deal for a few reasons but please feel free to chime in - it's a lower end 43" model from the 6th generation that runs Saphi instead of Android TV. And there have been several other deals for larger sizes at similar price points (search 50PUS6804 going for £349.99 from Costco).

Get yourself some Ambilovin' for less than 300 notes . Great deal as this price level of Philips normally skip the Ambilight. Hope you're good today MS

I am, you?
I have the 55 version from the richer sound deal. It is definitely a good tv and the lights are definitely not just a gimmick. My only issues are UI could be improved, YouTube App can crash occasionally and not sure the Disney + has been added to tv app store. Still would definitely recommend

Really, Currys? You're going to have this Ambilight for this much after I opted for a Sony?

REALLY?
What is the picture quality actually like on these as opposed to the equivalent LG and SAMSUNG variants?
I'm usually a Samsung man myself but at this price I'm so tempted to get one for the bedroom. Anyone know what the quality on this set is like?

Any good for gaming?

Any good for gaming?

In my experience no. TVs in general don't have the relevant specifications, so especially if you are playing fast-paced titles, it won't be too pleasant of an experience. I attempted to play Witcher on mine, it obviously looked good on a bigger screen, but was significantly more choppy vs a 75Hz monitor with Freesync.
£19 more with a 6 year warranty from RS if you want the additional peace of mind richersounds.com/pro…tml
Good for the price but no Android for Disney+, so no buyie!!

It's not just the UI. I have a 55in and the Freesat guide is beyond appalling. It's the most awkward thing to set up and create a favorites list (just show me the non-scrambled channels FFS) but even when you do this, most of the channels do not show you what's on. You have to actually watch a channel to see what's on. None of the ITV channels has ever appeared on the guide and yes, I have tried setting it from the internet and broadcaster.

I love the TV, I love the Ambilight but unless you have a Freesat or Sky box to use instead of the Phillips UI, I couldn't recommend it.

Edit ... like this, the Philips program "guide" is rubbish!

Is this PC or console? I have a PS4 Pro and Switch as my primary game systems, wondering if this will be fine for them. Fine with a max of 60Hz

PC. If you ignore my anecdotal experience, any TV would work with consoles, but as someone who games on a PC (and having seen the wonders of 144Hz and 1ms response times), TV gaming just doesn't cut it for me. Input lag, response time, ghosting... it's difficult to nail down exactly why.

Thanks! I understand haha, and one day I might get there, but right now I'm comfortable with TV gaming

Don't know why so many tv's have such rubbish software!
People say get a firestick or roku but you shouldn't have to! The tv you purchase should work properly it's like buying a new car and the dashboard doesn't work!It puts me off so many tvs.
Does the light function work best when its against a wall?

Would it work well when freestanding?
Also is this a better shout than the hisense 7500?
Thanks in advance!

Same boat, eyeing the B7500. I was also looking at the TCL EP658 2020 model but no UK stock yet.
