3-sided Ambilight for picture immersion
Ambilight technology is unique to Philips. It makes the screen appear much wider—and your viewing experience more immersive—by emitting an extra wide glow from three-sides of your TV screen onto the surrounding wall. Colour, vibrancy and excitement move beyond the screen and into your living room to bring you a viewing experience beyond the ordinary.

Pixel Precise Ultra HD and Micro Dimming for optimised picture
Unique picture processing sets the Philips apart from its rivals. Pixel Precise Ultra HD delivers smoother motion and life-like picture depth. Micro Dimming analyses the picture across thousands of zones and adjusts it accordingly. This maximises the contrast for life-like images and realism.

Get the best from HDR with HDR10+
For the highest quality picture, HDR10+ offers scene-by-scene HDR mastering for the truest, most accurate HDR picture technology to date. With HDR10+ each scene is optimised, meaning the maximum amount of detail is shown – even in the brightest or darkest moments. The 55PUS6754 also supports standard HDR10 and HLG formats. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is set to become the standard for transmitting 4K signals.

Dolby Vision for dramatic imaging
As well as supporting HDR10+, the 55PUS6754 is also compatible with Dolby Vision - a leading format in Hollywood and cinemas around the world. Dolby Vision also adjusts the picture to take full advantage of each display's characteristics and presents an optimized picture for each scene in specially mastered content.

Smarter TV from SAPHI
Packing the latest SAPHI smart system, powered by a Quad Core processor, this Philips 55” TV is a slick performer with Smart content, too. Connect up to your home network by Ethernet or Wi-Fi and enjoy access to a wide range of apps including favourites such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube the BBC iPlayer and more. A built-in web browser lets you browse and stream to your heart's content.

Crisp and detailed sound
Compatible with Dolby Atmos sound tracks, the 55PUS6754 has the potential to deliver spacious, enveloping sound. Clear Sound improves dialogue, making it easier to hear individual voices.

Freeview Play for catch-up TV
Freeview Play makes catch-up TV easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV
Hub, All4 and Demand 5 sitting alongside over 60TV Channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV is connected to the internet and you're good to go.

Fully connected
Three HDMI sockets make it easy to connect a Blu-ray player, games console and TV set-top box. All sockets are HDMI 2.0 version with HDCP 2.2, making this TV compatible with UHD Blu-ray players and most 4K HDR streaming services. Other connections include twin USB sockets, featuring recording to a compatible USB device. Throw in an optical connection for a soundbar/base plus headphone sockets and you've everything you need from your new TV.

still no way to turn off motion processing on these ? Even though you set it to Off it still processes the video and makes just about everything look like absolutely crap? I even plugged in a firestick to avoid the inbuilt prime video motion processing, and I still can't get it to work without video processing. She doesn't notice but it drives me crazy such that it's unpleasent to watch.

Imagine listening to music and someone keeps turning the vol up and down with the beat..... This TV does that but to the Video signal.

Nothing worse than having a TV set with blur reduction and motion processing on

When it adds extra frames to the video it’s horrid and makes it look like your watching something fake
Can anyone explain the difference between this TV 55PUS6754 & model 55PUS6704?

very useful link above

in this case it's a 'design difference' usually this is stand type or colour, and for this particular one it looks like its black/dark grey VS silver. See this link for pics.

Are you asking a question or stating a fact? I know that the previous years version 6703/53 of this TV had some motion issues for some people, but I haven't seen any reports with the 2019 version (6704/54).

I've just bought the 50 " version and no issues.
We set the setting to "movie" and that stops it.
Otherwise it has that cheap looking soap opera feel.
Looking for 40" or similar
Which one is better?

This 50PUS6754 for £414 or the Amazon deal from yesterday the 50PUS7304 for £452 (now £599) ?

Descriptions states HDMI 2.0 unless I'm mistaken.
The price is very similar to Amazon and Currys but added benefit of Richer sound is that the TV comes with 6 years guarantee where as other comes with 2.

Potential 1.6% quidco cashback

It's an IPS panel right? How are the blacks?

Blacks are actually very good, I have tweaked the advanced settings slightly after advise from a YouTube video on a similar models and reduced the sharpness to 3, but other than that straight out of the box is very very good. Especially for the price.
