Ah you beat me to it . I've gone for the 43 inch. I was originally looking at the LG 49SK8000 and the Samsung 49NU8000, but opted for this instead as it ticks most boxes.

Bargain! Still waiting for a deal on a 65” 7000 series.
Bought the 55" with the 10% off Friday before last for £476, dammit. Wait six months for a good deal on this and in the last three weeks three deals have come.. er.. at once?!

Had it delivered on Wednesday and I love it. Haven't bothered adjusting the settings yet, just been setting up the YT, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and figured out casting last night. Initial experience when setting it up was it was slow but thinking it took some time to link services with my Google account. Love it, Ambilight is a game changer. Just need to delve into sideloading apps now.

what's the difference between this 7383 model and this 7803 model ?

hotukdeals.com/dea…315

Also are there any good reviews on the 2019 models and what the improvements are ?

I got a 55 and inch 6 series and returned it due to dirty uneven backlight.

Still not repacked it with anything. I am wondering about the 55 inch of this or the hisense 55u7a for £25 more.

I know this has the p5 processor where the 6 series did not but wondering if backlight is better

Grid at the bottom of this page. Looks like the 7803 has edge lighting whereas this one is 'direct'. Neither support HDR10+. For less than £400 a TV with ambilight and Android built in you can't go far wrong.

cool so the 78 has a 10 bit panel and slightly better motion resolution ?

edit and i see edge lighting rather than direct led -- which is better ? is edge led with 10bit better than direct with 8bit+FRC?

Edge LED enables a thinner tv but direct LED can have less backlight bleed and the thicker tv can sometimes mean better quality speakers too.

Picture of what? The uneven backlight? If so I never took a picture. It was set up for an hour max before being boxed back up and returned to Amazon.
This or the PUS6753? What is the main difference?
Aww I just bought a phillips 6750 last week for £370, I would have bought this just for the p5 processor, win some lose some I guess

Indeed. Ambilight is a game changer! A fantastic innovation and USP. Genuinely don't think I could go back to an 'ordinary' TV now.

7000 series has android tv and the better p5 processors with a few other things, seeing as the 50inch at least is the same price get this
So these are 8 bit +FRC panels and not native 10 bit panels? I thought 8 bit panels were a bit dated now?
Anyone know the best price for the 65inch in this model? Very tempted to bite, but been looking for something bigger.

Do all 4 HDMI connections play HDR content?
Would this have Amazon Prime video on it - anyone know?

I have been trying to rush through some reviews of the eBay ao TVs posted today. I have come to the conclusion this is the best forprice range. Am I right?

My gf who initially said it was distracting and a gimmick said the same after about 30 minutes of watching Friends on it, Ambilight ruins you for other TVs!
Ordered with £75 off using code! Thanks
Cheers ,
Been looking for a decent 55 inch at less than £500 .
Especially whit this P5 processor and Android.
Ambilight is a bonus .
Just read through 67 reviews , most give it 5 stars and it’s rated 4.7 out of 5 .
Time to say goodbye to my 11 year old 47 inch LG full HD TV , still going ! That TV set me back £1500 back then .

Also been checking reviews out and for £454 this is probably the Best Buy in the 55 inch range .
Android, P5 processor , Ambi are all advantages for me .
Just bought, thanks op for the heads up. Now need a deal on Xbox one x.
What is so special about the P5 chip? Is it new?

Not sure on stand but Phillips give 2 yr warranty on tvs
Great price! I picked up the 55" a few weeks ago for just over £500.

This has replaced my 11 year old Samsung 40" which died.

Connectivity is excellent, picture is good when configured. PC, PS4 look great.

The current OS is Oreo, if you install it
Bit the bullet and bought the 55 inch. Going in my empty living room which has been waiting to get plastered for 2 months lol. Think I need it doing ASAP now.

The Phillips. Just read recent user reviews of the hisense on John Lewis and many complain of software issues and freezing etc
