Beautiful picture
See incredible detail in everything you watch, with the Philips Ambilight 65PUS6814/12 65" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV. With over 8 million pixels and four times the resolution of Full HD, you'll enjoy sharp images and improved depth of colour.

And with support for HDR content, you'll see the brightest and darkest shades of colour in the same frame. So, whether it's a dimly lit dialogue scene or a tense battle in the dark of night, you'll always know exactly what's happening on screen.

Be immersed with Ambilight
From movies to games, get more immersed in your content with Philips Ambilight. LEDs cast the colours on your screen onto the wall behind it and into your room, creating a stunning effect that will make your screen feel bigger and give every show a tailored, real-time light show.

Amazon Alexa
Say goodbye to the hassle of endless scrolling and use your voice to control your TV. With Amazon Alexa built-in, whether you want to check the weather, mute the TV, or turn on the Ambilight, all you need to do is ask.

You can even control other Alexa compatible devices around your home, like smart light bulbs or the thermostat without even needing to get up.

Bundles of choice
Can't decide what to watch next? Just hit the smart TV button on your remote and discover a huge choice of edge-of-your-seat blockbusters and dramas on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, and more.

And with Freeview Play, you're able to catch-up with any TV show you may have missed over the past 7 days, whenever you have the time. So, no need to cancel your plans to catch that epic season finale.

Crystal clear audio
A great picture deserves great sound to match. The Philips 65PUS6814/12 TV features Dolby Atmos, placing you at the centre of the action on screen. By reimagining your TV audio as a 3D experience, everything you hear feels like it's happening around you. So, sound always feels expansive and spacious.

It's too early for riddles. Clown.

I expect any time would be too early for riddles for you. You don't seem the brightest.

He was clearly saying that he could afford to upgrade his sound system if he went for this TV as it's cheaper than the Bravia.

I'd go Bravia over a Philips! avforums.com/rev…564

The 58 (and 50") are VA panels too, which I prefer over 55/65" IPS.

Go for the Bravia. I have a philips and to be honest I think they rely on their Ambilight to sell tvs with disappointing panels and poor quality control.

This tv or samsung ru7400?

This tv or samsung ru7400?

I've got the previous versions of both TV's (2018).

They have very similar picture quality. The smart OS is better on the Samsung, but I prefer watching the Philips just because of Ambilight.
Great tvs
I love this TV. I have the 49” model released just before this in my living room and the LEDs are mesmerising. I also have an Android Sony Bravia 49” in my bedroom. Sony has a much better array of settings to make the picture look slightly better. However not by much. The Android interface wins hands down though. The interface on the Sony is way faster and much nicer to look at
Nice tv
Anyone think the 7304 could come down for Black Friday I wonder? Been holding out for a 65” ambilight
Here's a recent video of this TV in action, worth 5 mins of your time if you are serious about buying.

I did find it surprising that this is NOT an Android TV Operating System (am not 100% up to speed on Phillips TVs, but had thought that they mostly did use Android).
I suppose on the plus side, this does look clean and simple; my worry with 'simple' is that will it work or still be compatible (ie if Amazon update their Prime video on their end, who is to say if this 'smart' app will still work? But, this argument is true of all generic smart tvs).

Overall though, it looks a great value TV and i think its amazing what you can get for your money these days.

Ive owned the Philips and returned it for a replacement as the picture quality was terrible, and grainy, the replacement was the same. I now have the XF9005... Brilliant TV. Shame I loved the Ambilight, but the pictures more important!

One person’s anecdotal experience has swayed your purchase decision?!

Ok, I have a Philips and it’s a fantastic TV set. Back to square 1!
CAUTION:

I had a Phillips Ambilight TV - within 6 months big dark splodges the size of £1 coins appeared on the screen. Sent off images to customer support and they said that was normal for their tv screens and they wouldnt do anything under warranty.

would never touch another Philips TV again.

And google assistant with the android OS, rather than Alexa...
Bought this 9 days ago for £749, it's a decent screen which needs a fair bit of tweaking in the settings to get the most out of it. A bit miffed that Currys wouldn't refund the difference as it was 2 days past their 1 week policy of price changes which has taken the shine off the deal.
Sadface.

Will never buy a tv from PC world again. Bought an 60 inch LG with 5 years warranty. TV has some lines at the bottom of the screen now. Contacted PC world, only to be told that I needed to contact LG for uplift number. I then called LG and they are telling me that I can only get uplift number from the place I purchased the tv. Been going around the circles and still both parties have not done anything to resolve my issue
