Great deal. Thanks. Only a 2 year guarantee though. Hoping for a similar deal with John Lewis or Richer Sounds for 5 or 6 years guarantee.
I'm grateful for that image decoding the Phillips TV models, I had no idea how to tell which were newer/older
is this va or ips?

Just request a price match.
Oh thanks for the chart! Been looking at the 7 series as I have a bunch of Philips Hue that I love.

Was considering OLED but pricey and slightly worried about burn in, can't seem to find much reviews on this model though to see how it's reviewed versus the 7 series (The one)
This is probably as much as I'm willing to spend on a TV, looking to upgrade to a nice 65", is this the best value for money?
Edited by: "AMusgrove" 28th Nov 2019
Are you 100% sure? Some sizes are VA. No info on the Philips website
15% off at topcashback
I was quite gutted about the Costco 7 series deal selling out as I was just about to bite...really wanted 75" settled for 70" on size with that...now wondering if going back to 65" with this tv (which is a higher series) is gonna give me buyers remorse later... decisions decisions. Also note peak brightness is 350nits and i believe this is pretty much the same for most of the Phillips sets. I didn't mind this too much on my 65PUS7303

So this is a better spec than the costco deal? Not sure what the warranty though
6554 going for £230 less, is this worth over that deal?
deeppockets29/11/2019 00:06

15% off at topcashback

They say "up to 15%" but I can't see any detail before it sends me off to Curry's. Could be only 1% on this for all we know.

Im not sure what is improved in terms of performance here, I'm just judging by the series number being higher as with the 6 series that have listed for great prices that I've tried to dodge so often! So blind faith...
But its a smaller set for starters and that's kind of what I'm stuck on.

As a side note: I sent my 7303 back as I was getting audio issues (mainly when Netflix previews would auto play) where the level would drop and it would crackle and buzz requiring a restart to fix, not to mention always having to select my AV receiver as the sound output. No trouble on my Samsung or LG set, but I love ambi light so reconsidering going back and hoping it was just an anomaly with the sound troubles.

Is this a new model from 2019 ?

Is there a better model at this price for Philips ?
This or go £50 more for Hisense H65U8B? I hear its good but I don't know why I would pay more for 120hz refresh over the Ambilight
Can't find if it is a VA or IPS panel...
I found this online for the 7 series... Let's hope it's the same for the 8 series
ModelScreen sizePanelSound
Philips 43 Pus7304 43 Zoll IPS 2.0 20 W
Philips 50 Pus7304 50 Zoll VA 2.0 20 W
Philips 55 Pus7304 55 Zoll IPS 2.0 20 W
Philips 65 Pus7304 65 Zoll VA 2.0 20 W
So little details about this TV wonder if it's almost a black friday model... designed for this purpose.

I can get 8% off vouchers via my work and some cashback, makes this a pretty good deal, but is the TV any good? The 7 Series is great and in theory this could be better, but with little information about it, i'm a bit suspect.
What is the different between ips and va

Best amblight tv for the price by a mile... I know it won’t last all day this deal... will be out of stock soon. Trust me.

and if you see a better deal let us all know
Topcashback is void if you pay with vouchers
Waiting for somebody to say if its ips or va conclusively.

Can't find anything online.
Yeah, I'd love to know more about this TV. In theory it should be good but there is hardly anything online about it

I have last years 65” model (7303) and it’s VA so I’d imagine this years 65 is probably VA also
One of YouTube comments saying that it's IPS, but it's not a confirmation

I also have the 7303 and was very happy with it until the sound started to play up.

If it's the same screen I will pull the trigger.

But dont want it if it's IPS.
Would taking up the Google best mini for £10 offer negate the topcashback in any way?

I avoided taking the mini just in case but can't confirm. I believe top cash back claims are manually checked against your order by Curry's so I can't see it being an issue. I decided to play it safe though.

Not as odd as you think. They make specific model numbers for some retailers. No reason why they couldn’t do the same for all retailers but for a specific promo.

Thanks, I'll probably leave it off to be on the safe side as well.
Does anyone have this model? You can check if it is VA by touching the screen, if there's a white bloom it'll be VA. If not, IPS.

When I worked at Currys we used to get a load of special Samsungs in for Black Friday and Boxing day, that were different model numbers than anything sold before, they basically cut a lot of ports/features from a higher model to get a cheaper price. So it's a bit like that. I don't think this is quite that, but lack of information seems it's only really started to be stocked and promoted in most places around this time.

I own the model below... bought it last year it an amazing tv... bought this to replace that one and will put that one in bedroom. No features or ports have been compensated. This set has lots of new features to the one I have. It’s the model above!

in addition to that the other size of this same tv on this website has 750 heat. hotukdeals.com/dea…642

trust me if you are after a 65 inch you will be kicking yourself when it’s oos. I’m just saying.
