Costco have put this on special buys for £119.98, when i have been looking for some previously only seen the prices for £250. I know there is a newer larger size but this one has been perfect for small family size, we never use oven for chips etc food anymore just bang it in this 10mins later it's done !!

We got ours when they about £50, used it twice,
Not sure about 250. Can be got for around 150 or so.

The issue is that different model numbers exist for the same product.

A Philips XL one for £50?? Deal of the century!
This is tiny, by no means an XL
How the hell to keep these things clean.

I know. I use a steel bbq brush on the mesh.
Love mine but yeah, a pain to clean. Mine gets done about twice a year and even then it doesn't get properly clean

steel brush? does the oil splash upwards to the inaccessible areas? is that what makes it difficult?
Great price

When and where? I'll buy 2 for that.

If anyone has these at better cost I'm looking for one.

I was talking about the basket below. Haven't needed to clean upwards but they do sell a splash guard for that. Obviously don't use the steel brush on the plastic. I love my fryer, the family uses it regularly with no oil. Heating pastries, fish fingers, chips, peri chicken (but I use foil for this), burgers, fish. Couldn't live without it. Highly recommended.

we've started putting foil under the basket so at least the bottom of the frier doesn't get all oily and so far it's worked well...dunno whether that's a good idea or not but no bad effects so far
I’ve had the 9220 for over a year now and use it at least once per day and love it. Would prefer a slightly bigger capacity as it is only 0.8kg, but i can live with it. The listing unit is 1.2kg.
My unit must be different in design because I have no problems cleaning the basket or base whatsoever. The basket I stick in the washing up bowl and use a pan scrub on it, which works perfectly. For base I simply pour some of the washing-up water into it and then again use the pan scrub. Job done!

If you're not using yours, and it's a Philips XL, I'll buy it for the £50 you paid for it.
