Good price for the added features, the sound quality of digital is so much better though.

Does sound like a good feature list but I have to agree, I was shocked to read it's analogue....

If I am buying this to listen for my baby crying, why would I care what the sound quality is like? Surely an analogue transmission of an unsettled child is still discernible as exactly that?

Mobile phones used to be analogue, now they are digitial, I don't know the science behind it but there must be a reason?

Also anyone can listen in on analogue.

i would not recommend this at all i had this for my first little one it didnt pick him up coughing , and there was a delay to hear him cry took it back to boots

Will i be able to use this whilst i nip down to the pub then?

It's not only that, you get hissing, interference etc. I bought the BT digital baby monitor plus for about £35 refurbished and it has worked flawlessly.

I was thinking the same:-

Remote dial in - great, let's all go out, leave baby asleep and dial in from the mobile.

my 5 month old niece seems to have a broken volume control...it appears to be locked into the very very loud setting, so I doubt this monitor would make any difference, there is no-where in the house to hide
