The dial-up baby monitor is a regular baby monitor but can also be connected to the public phone network. When your child makes a sound, the baby unit will call the programmed phone number of your choice. You will hear your child's sounds when you pick up the phone and can speak a few comforting words
Boots seem to have reduced this baby monitor again.
When i say again, i may about 6 months back i bought it for my self, and asked why it was reduced as in all other stores tis over £100 pounds and more expensive in mother care, and they said because philips were chaging the packching and a week later it was back up to normal price and no packaging changed, it seems they have odne it again, almost half price, however when i bought mine it was £58 and its an excellent baby monitor. also free deliavey because its over £40

No, you did fine for your first deal.
A bit more info and a picture would have helped, but that will come with time.

Edi had some extra info that we didn't know about. ;-)

Does anybdy else think this is a silly idea ?

Why would it be silly. Explain

phoning up you baby upstairs seems daft to me

Its good for when you go down the pub and leave you kids at home alone
Just think what it will save in baby sitters

So every time baby makes a sound it rings you, sounds even dafter now IMO ,would be ringing all the time

I used a pair of Motorola walkie talkies set to baby monitor.

One funny incident - they've decided at the last few elections to put a portacabin up in the next road bobby on the door etc. and when I last voted 2 mins before closing I was in the booth wrestling with my conscience (do I tick the first 3 or the last 3 or go truly random?)
when the sound of a baby crying could be clearly heard
from inside the cabin... The election officers were stunned, the bobby came running in everyone started looking for the baby... I shuffled out and left them to it.

oh and before anyone thinks the child was alone ... that's not the case I'd just forgotten to put the monitor down in my haste to participate in the Great Game.
