been looking for a second blu ray dor the bedroom sub £50 :-)

anyone know if this can play mkv ?

good price, heat applied

Paid £60 for b4 Christmas, bargain at £50, no idea what mkv is.. sorry. Voted hot

Heat added. Why does it say "Recordable Media BD-R, BD-RE, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW" when its just a player though?

very poor reviews on amazon.

cheap and nasty product which i would stay well away from.

Basically, it can READ all those formats.

Thought Philips Blu-ray players were nasty?

Because it can play things stored on these types of media.

Thanks, they are just duplicating the information from "Playable Disk Types" to confuse me! oO

If you look at the same sellers other items the same dvd player is only £45.00 free post!

I'd guess not as it states 'Playable file formats': DivX, JPEG, MP3, MPEG2, WMA, WMV, XviD

I'd also hazard the guess that it'll play AVI also.

good deal,,,bought this from asda last week for £57

Yes I have to concur, this sounds quite poor!

Test Freaks give it 9.1 / 10 based on 26 reviews

Got the £57 one from Asda for the g/f a few weeks back, she is returning it this week and going for either a Panasonic or Sony S370 as it's the noisiest player we have ever heard. Terribly loud.

Its the same player but it is "used" and only has a 3 month guarantee instead of a 12 month one. Its worth the extra £4 imo

Good advice Kev mate
Cheers. I'll go for the Sony.

Bought mine from Asda a few months back and really happy with it. Its noisy on startup when reading the discs but after that its not that bad. The USB feature is superb and playback from USB is top notch. For £50 its a bargain.

Q: is it multi region or uk only thanks
A: Hi there, All our products are genuine, UK specification items. Many thanks

Ever wonder why they cant get a sale in retail?

RISC, chances are these are old stock which was discontinued
And also, yes it can be made into a region a player?
Jack

The Asda one at £57 was a BDP2700; don't know what the difference is..
