Seen this set in action a few months back in Curry's - the picture is absolutely amazing! These sets used to retail at £2500, and have come down in price dramatically.

Be aware that this set has been known to have issues, although not all owners reported the problem - it's with 1:1 pixel mapping.

Is that the pre-VAT price?
No, that's including VAT, expertly calculated by yours truly.
£2010 delivered at Dixons.

Edit: That's the 9830 model, so maybe the updated one?

Further edit: I was wrong, it's the Dixons one that is the old model.
Oh well, another coldy pour moi.:whistling:

Note to self: Find cheap, poor brand and quality lcd 40" for next attempt.
Voted Hot as not everyone can fit 42"...
I think this is the 1080i one if it's the 37PF9731D, but the panel is 1920x1080

Ideal viewing distance: 5.5 feet. Anything further and 1080p is wasted, and you'd get a better picture from a 720p plasma.
I was going to say something similar myself! Great for a small room, where you're sitting close to the telly, but otherwise don't bother and get a standard 720p telly instead and pocket the saving.

You know, I'm not all that bothered about the whole 1080p matter either, and am aware that the general consensus is that you can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p unless it's on a 50" panel - the reason behind Panasonic not making 1080p 42" plasmas.

However, the picture on this set will blow any comparable panel away - comparable in the prices found elsewhere - 1250-1500 quid.

I though deals were voted hot on the basis that they were cheaper than the same product can be found anywhere else...:whistling:

Anyhoo, no biggy.
Agreed, voted hot last night as IT'S A BARGAIN in the sense that it appears to be almost double Makro's price elsewhere.
