I was looking for 5.1 surround sound wireless speakers and came across this Philips one which seems to have all the connectivity features at a very decent price.

The reviews although relatively few are quite promising. I couldn't find the same one priced cheaper anywhere else and hence have bought it from here.

The item is currently out of stock but Amazon are taking orders on it and will be shipping them when its back in stock from the manufacturer/supplier - which is usually a few weeks max from my previous experience.

Also, Amazon price tracker shows that it was lowest priced at £307 and hence £308.13 doesn't sound to be a bad price.

If any of guys know of a better price for this speaker, please leave a comment so that I could cancel this one.

Other sellers are selling the same item for a minimum of £418. So more than a £100 difference if going with Amazon.

Also fellow HUKDers, please do not expire the thread as the item is not currently available. It can very well be back ordered for now.

Hope this helps someone who is out in the market looking for a 5.1 wireless speakers.

got a question about the wireless speakers, where are you meant to place them? just in the corners of the room or hung up?

these speakers, do they need plugging in to a mains? how do they get powered?

I was planning to buy some compatible speaker stands to go with them. Pundits state that the speakers should be placed at ear level but doubt everyone will be able to achieve this given space constraints in their homes.

The speaker setup isnt completely wireless so to speak.

The front 2 ones connect to the soundbar whereas the rear 2 ones connect to a bluetooth amp box through wires. The bluetooth amp box though is wirelessly connected/paired to the soundbar. Fortunately the woofer is also wireless and can be placed either in the front or rear.
The woofer and bluetooth amp box both need a power outlet to plug into along with the soundbar.

Hope this helps.

Does it have Hdmi 2.0? Also does tell anything about sound output? Unless it has hdmi 2.0 which I doubt, it is very expensive compared to LG home cinema with many more features.

hey can you point me to the LG home cinema which you speak about? I suppose this is wireless. And what more features are we talking about here?

Like more sound output like 1500 watts and more hdmi ports.
