Was £32.99 now £9.89 - around £1.65 each for a dimmable LED bulb.
LED lamp provides a bright, focused beam of warm white light. Significant energy savings against traditional halogen lamps. Dimming warms the colour temperature.

I am fitting downlights in the corridor and open plan kitchen-living room. What temperature of bulbs do you recommend me for a contemporary look without looking too clinical?
I tried dimmable leds but they are just so slow to respond that in the end I just went back to a normal on off switch. The misses just kept hitting the dimmer as they didn't come on straight away.

The consensus is in relaxing enviroments warm white,so go for that in living room and cool white in corridor.
But as you have modern look maybe cool white in living room as if you are using a dimmer it can calm down the clinical look.Or look for lights that are midway between warm and cool about 4000K.

Somethings not right then. My LAP dimmers are quick and snappy. They do only go down to a certain brightness as i belive that's the dimmers fault, more expensirve dimmers will go to a lower brightness.

This is really personal preference. I don't like the bluish tint to daylight bulbs, so I chose 2700k for bedrooms and living areas and 3000k downlights for kitchen and bathrooms. This still provides a warm glow but with a slightly crisper light.
