If you have trouble getting up in the morning this light could be of benefit to you. I received the code to share with others via bzzagent.co.uk of whom I am a member. I will be testing this product once I have it delivered. Hope the code helps someone out there.

From the user manual http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/h/hf3480_60/hf3480_60_dfu_eng.pdf: "For safety reasons, the lamp of this appliance cannot be replaced." How ridiculous? For that reason I'm out.

'Dusk Simulation'? So it goes from light to dark? That would put me to sleep not 'WakeUp'!

It does both functions. both dusk simulation and wakeup.

Further to my comments about the stupidity of the lamp being a non-user replaceable part, does anyone know what lamp it actually takes? It seems unlikely, though not impossible, that the lamp is permanently fixed, i.e. soldered, into the light and probably replaceable with a little bit of common sense. If it was so, then my opinion to the appliance would perhaps be more positive.

If you are a member of Bzz you might be offered to trial this for £38, quite a lot of people seem to be invited to try this out (you get to keep it at the end but let Bzz know your thoughts on the light and tell other people about it).

once the bulb goes you just have an alarm clock. but don't worry its life is expected to be 6000 hrs. and to be fair philips lamps normally live beyond that. still places at bzz if you want one for £38.
me i'm gonna give it a miss. don't fancy the light turning on 30 mins before i wonna get up. i just bite the bullet and get up once the alarm goes off.
