Philips Fidelio Soundbar (with detachable speakers) £700 down to £455.70 with Code & Cashback

This is the new Soundbar from Philip's Fidelio range, the main feature is it has a wireless sub and detachable speakers which turns this 2.1 Soundbar into a 5.1 set up without the wires.

See a full review here: avforums.com/rev…tml

On Philip's site it is £700 but there is 30% off using code: UKFIDELIO30 from Quidco, which brings it down to £490, then there is 7% cashback bringing the total to £455.70

The next cheapest I've seen this is on Amazon for £600

This will obviously work for other products as well, only this is the item I was interested in.

Seriously? A sound system more expensive than the TV itself? I'd much rather a 1000W Pioneer or Sony 5.1 3D Bluray system for under £200

just because you bought a cheap tv it doesn't mean the rest of the world … just because you bought a cheap tv it doesn't mean the rest of the world has

£450 is a cheap TV?? That's a standard price nowadays. A cheap TV would be £200.

This system is way over-priced, even with this 'discount'

whatsThePoint

which top of the range 60" tv costs £450?

Let's not be silly here, 60"??

This is HUKD and those TV's are generally accepted by most as good. You don't need to know what I drive, I don't have the pathetic need to play those games. If your ego needs feeding go somewhere else as there's no space for people like you here.

Good luck with life if this is how you treat people you think are less fortunate than you and for everyone's sake, get off this site as it's for bargain hunters, not people who want to try to show off. Enough said.

All comments aside here, as stated the point of this forum is to find bargains - RRP is £700, elsewhere you can find it for maybe £600, this deal is BY FAR the cheapest you can buy this Soundbar... (which isn't badly priced overall - when you compare it to other ones like the Yamaha YSP-2200 - which is the ENTRY Sound Projector from Yamaha)

Crikey, this is what I get for posting a deal at the end of the day and not checking in until the morning!

Yes, this isn't the cheapest Soundbar out there but I believe it's the cheapest with detachable wireless rear speakers and sub that gets a good review.
I see this on the site too much, people don't like something so vote it cold without any consideration for weather or not it's an actual deal!

This is exactly what I've been looking for - surround sound without all the wires and no need for a seperate amp either... great idea to allow temporary placement of the rear speakers on the odd occasion to watch a film.

Not saying its a cheap item, but in terms of AV enthusiast equipment, its not badly priced (compared to a 5.1 speaker package and a decent AV receiver) with the discount. I'll be ordering shortly - Thanks OP!

You hit the nail on the head, the severe downside of one person one vote process in democracy when only a few hardy souls read beyond the first sentence/praragraph!

Was going to buy just now - sadly seems like the code UKFIDELIO30 has expired.

Did you go via the Quidco website as the offer is still valid for another couple of days?
quidco.com/phi…uk/

Purchased and set it up yesterday - I was surprised out how loud and clear the unit went for it's small size. It really comes in to it's own when you do detach the rear speakers and put them behind you. I think I would feel just "ok" at the RRP, but at this price, for the performance and no wires (keeping the OH very happy) it's a great purchase!
