Lowest price this has been. Missed out on the logitech deal, but while this might not sound as impressive it does have wife friendly wireless rear speakers.

Only HDMI 1.4 but has optical.

Generally well reviewed. Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS Digital Surround, Dolby pro-logic 2 compatible

Quidco (3%) and perkbox (8% via love2shop) discount available

Hmm, Wife friendly!
That reminds me:
A man received the following text from his neighbour:

I am so sorry Bob.
I’ve been riddled with guilt and I have to confess.
I have been utilising your wife’s facility day and night when you’re not around.
In fact, more than you.

I’m not getting any at home, but that’s no excuse.
I can no longer live with the guilt and I hope you will accept my sincerest apology with my promise that it won’t happen again.

The man, anguished and betrayed, went into his bedroom, grabbed his gun and without a word, shot his wife and killed her.

A few moments later, a second text came in:

Bloody Spellchecker! I typed “wifi”, not “wife”.

Good question look very similar apart from connectivity and styling... any views?

Was going to buy this setup a long while ago, but did not get GREAT reviews. Remember that the battery life of the two small pods isn't great. So I gave it a miss

Don't know how you can resist lol. Do you know if the speakers will combine well with the OLED55E7N in-built soundbar. I mean will all of the speakers from both devices fire at the same time?

However, don't know if there is a delay setting to avoid an echo.

Very helpful! Thank you. I read on a review for the speaker system that you can adjust the delay to avoid echo.

Having a play with it now, kids are asleep so can't go too loud. Watching star trek discovery on Netflix and it certainly makes a difference over the built in speakers. Will try it with something with a bit more action and explosions for a better effect but it's a good test on how it handles voices mixed with music which can often cancel each other out

I saw a few reviews that mentioned the rear speakers are quieter and I agree with that, however the way I set them up is to have them on thr top part of the sofa so I'm a foot or two away from them and then 8 foot from the two fronts. (The front speakers do seem to dominate more, the rears offer more ambience and quieter, maybe with things cranked up it'll balance out)

Sound quality is pretty decent, it's a 'different' sound to the TV but I like it, voices are clear, have bass turned down so not much punch at the moment. I've got the TV speakers turned off at the moment.

For £250 though I'm pretty impressed, certainly a step up over the previous 2.1 sound bar I once had and an improvement over the built in speakers in immersion, will have a proper go tomorrow morning to see what that sub can do.
