This has pretty good reviews and cheapest i can find it anywhere by around £40
3-Disc CD changer, powerful 2 x 120 watts power output, USB input, cassette deck and microphone input with adjustable level. The Philips FWM387 gives you all this for a lot less than you'd expect!

With a 3-disc CD auto-changer onboard and MP3 CD playback, this portable music system is ideal for a wide range of uses including parties, background music in a shop/cafe and much more. CDs recorded using MP3 can usually store around 10 hours of music so, times this by three, and you have a potential for around 30 hours of non-stop music! Track programming, repeat (one or all album) and shuffle play, give this CD player full playback flexibility.

Added to the multi-disc CD player is a handy USB host. Use this to connect up your media player such as iPod, MP3 or smart phone and listen to your stored music streamed directly through the Philips. Should your music player not have a USB link then there's always the mini jack link for old school equipment. Next up is the built-in tuner radio and timer control. Both FM and MW wavebands are onboard and you can store your favourite stations in one of the 40 presets. The FM tuner features RDS for station id, radio text, clock and programme type search. The timer system includes a clock, sleep timer, radio alarm, USB alarm and CD alarm - everything you need from a bedside or kitchen system. Something of a rarity these days but great to have is the cassette deck. Ideal for playing the occasional cassette or even recording cassettes, the cassette deck means that, whatever the medium, you're always prepared with the FWM387. What's more, if you're recording from CD, the CD Synchro start keeps the recording perfectly timed.

Making the Philips FWM387 especially rare is that it's one of few hi-fi systems with a microphone input. Paired with its own volume control, this makes the FWM387 ideal for a spot of Karaoke or voice overs for small events. With this in mind, the powerful amplifier is well placed in providing decent volume levels in larger rooms. The 2 x 120 watt power output can be maximised by using the MAX Sound control. At the touch of a button this optimises the sound output to give the greatest levels of bass and treble without distorting the sound. Should you require more control over the sound then there are also three Dynamic Bass Boost settings and Digital Sound Control (DSC). DSC gives you the choice of settings optimised for Jazz, Rock, Pop or Classical music. A full remote control finishes off what has to be one of the most comprehensively specced mini systems to date.

For a fully loaded mini system with power to spare, the Philips FWM387 is a top contender.
