Did not work for me sadly! Did I miss the boat leave?

Great iron, bought one for about the same price last year...
Plenty of steam and a nice pointy tip to get all corners of a shirt.
Dial isn't great to read in dim light, but once you know where the settings are it's not a problem at all.
Heat added!

It sunk

Paid £50 for this iron personally, not had any problems with it except when the girlfriend used it (for the only time) and ironed a nylon gym top on full heat.. Not really the irons fault and a half clothes peg cleared all the remnants off the plate

Thanks mate. got the proce difference back.
voted hot btw...

Result!

Good price - only thing to watch out for is the short cable length (2m). The Philips GC4890 is similar to this iron but has 2.5m cable but currently thats £45 at Currys (does sometimes drop to £40 though)

Got one almost identical about a year back...very good iron, only gripe would be the very flimsy lid/cap on the water container, which is just waiting to fall/snap off. Given the price you'd expect something a bit better made in that respect but otherwise it's ace.

Might also be worth noting the GC4890 is the older model of this iron on offer at Amazon. Not to say that newer models are always better, just an observation.

I find these comments funny. when someone else uses someone's iron and leave it on 3 thinking oh its okay but in fact it burns their clothes.

Bosch TDA5070GB - is that a better iron for a tenner more? 3000w and longer cord?

Still not sure it's funky enough to encourage me to iron more often

Why do these deals always arrive too late for Mothers Day?

November time. Bought for the Mrs. Surprisingly I did not keep the bar code! I actually got it for for £22.50 thanks to a £2.50 instore voucher.

The auto-off safety feature was the main selling point (as well as the price)

Im also thinking the same. Tough choice to make but this one is 30% cheaper just whether you're willing to deal with the shorter cord and the extra time it will take to heat because of the lower wattage.

heat added.

2 year manufacture warranty confirmed

THIS

and valentines day

I have had one of these for about a year and as far as irons go, think it's awesome.
Ironing feels quicker with this one than my old one (was a decent brand, but forget which)
Would recommend. My only small niggle is that the cord is short and I use it with a plug socket at hip height.

Yes I have two of these beauty's I got it on sale for £19,99 but one get one free so that's that

Decent!

I've got this - got mine from John Lewis in the Christmas sale for £39. Best iron I've had - much better than my previous two Bosches. Awesome steaming and more importantly a big base and low centre of gravity - I was forever knocking my bosches off the ironing board when they were stood up.

Bought one too.

wish I'd seen it @£25 ...bargain !!
