Great irons only problem is after a while the steam button sinks into the iron so you can’t get a shot of steam, saying that we’re onto our third one as they are good apart from that. The ones we’ve had have never been priced at £90.

Never happens to me! Are you sure you are not applying to much pressure? Strange

I don’t think so just pressing it down maybe I use the shot of steam too much! Either way it shouldn’t really do that wouldn’t stop me buying another when I need one.

Bought the newer model of this when it was £60 and its great. Live in an area with particularly hard water so the calc filter is a life saver

If you look closely at the picture this one has a huge steam button. You wouldn’t have much iron left if that button sank!

Yeah still plenty of iron just looks a bit flatter around that area
I got the 200g version (£25) 3.5 years ago and it's still going strong, will definitely buy another when it decides to go

£90
Average price is £60 and price moved more between £40 - £60 constantly than at the £90 price point it's actually pretty rare its ever there. Good deal but not good enough for me to bite, which is a shame as I was in the market for a good iron!
Bah! Ordered one from Groupon 2 days ago at £44 and thought I'd done ok. Cheapest alternative I could find then was 59.99. Is worth the hassle of returning for 4 quid...
@MrBaz thanks for posting you're missing the fact it's a deal of the day from the details and the expiry. Will help others know when the deal ends
Great iron, I am also on my third one. The earlier ones had a soft pad under handle that disintegrates over time but I just cut that off, the new one doesn’t have that. Good price.
last one I bought was GC4567/86 at twice the price and it is no better than the one above.

I remember times when a great product meant not having to buy three of them. How have we been conditioned to expect so little?

That’s just what I was thinking - looking to buy a new iron, but that puts me off!
Is the 4532 a later model, as Argos have that for £39.99 ?
I have had the 220g steam burst GC4527/80 model for the last 2 years and have to say it is the worst iron it’s ever been my misfortune to own. It was fine for the first few months, however it now has the habit of leaking and staining clothes brown. It also leaves black marks unless you iron the board a few times prior to ironing clothes.

I find Philips product numbers impossible to decipher but looking at spec alone, that one is 180g steam, 45g/min and 2400w compared to 210g steam, 50g/min and 2600w.
Good iron. Bought one a couple years ago.
Mine packed in after a few years

Bought a £20 one and it's still going strong and has good steam too
It was okay but didn't last me very long. I desclaled it and now when ever I plug it in the fuse blows.
I bought one of these a while back to replace a Philips steam iron which cost just over half the price, but I didn't think this Azur was any better than my old one. In fact, I found the Azur's size and weight to be awkward and I often knocked the large temperature dial with my fingers. I'm much happier now, having returned to using the old iron, which I managed to repair.
Thanks for sharing

Try WD-40

Thanks but Tried everything it’s totally broken think there must be some kind of clip or lever or something that’s snapped inside
It certainly makes ironing a lot easier. Great steam. Decent offer
Thanks for the heads up, went for one.
Damn, paid £52 for this less than a week ago
Phenomenal deal - bought this for £60 a month ago
Thats the wife's xmas present sorted!
Good price (we paid quite a bit more just over a year ago) and a very good iron when it workded, but as with other posters in the thread the darn thing just stopped working.
Bit disappointed.
Nevertheless, just because a few of us have had a bad experience with this iron doesn't mean it's not a good iron - it is - just wish it lasted a lot longer.

Really good price. I have same model now but the water spray and steam shot dont work. Tried to descale but not much success. If I put it in Co tinuius steam mode it works so don't know why steam shot won't work.. Really nice iron despite the faults..
I still need to open mine from few years ago...
My Azur failed a month or so ago, and when I looked it up, it was £40 5 years ago. I can't imagine irons have innovated enough to justify a £90, or even £60 price tag so I got one from Argos for £30. Seems pretty good, certainly better than blowing cash on a glorified non stick kettle. Have to admit I'd have been all over this a month ago tho...
