had bad luck with Philips lately. completely anecdotal of course but 1 burnt out Philips hue and 3 burnt out Philips GU10 leds. The hue lasted 3 months trying to get it fixed. The GU10s lasted less than a year. Very odd considering my cheap Chinese GU10s are still going after 4 years.
Anyone got a free delivery code?

Strange...I guess is just bad luck! Philips and Samsung LED bulbs are the best

When I am at any store, I can't believe the amount of selection there are for light bulbs and I always choose the wrong kind. I purchased this type based on a recommendation from a friend. They provide the right amount of bright light, but more importantly, it gives off a warmth type of light which is what I have been searching for.

It's the colour temperature you need to pay attention to, these are warm white which look slightly orange whereas cool white looks slightly blue. If measured numerically the lower numbers are warm and higher cool, about 3000 and 7000 respectively with 5000 being most like daylight.
The beam on these is quite narrow (36 degrees). This will suit some situations better than others.
ordered thanks. dont think i need them but im sure they will come in handy eventually.... ordered the blue ones from a link here a few days ago... not even got round to picking them up either
Bought a load of these a couple of weeks ago. The single ones were either 99p or 1.49 depending on the wattage /colour.

yeah i wondered this... but it was a new circuit that's outdoors. was fully tested and was given a report afterwards but doesn't mean it's not busted true.

Very cool looking bulb.
CRI not stated .. wonder why.
Non dimmable.
I’ve had so many GU10 LEDs from Screwfix fail on me that I’ve stopped buying from there. They are claimed to have lifetimes in the tens of thousands of hours, but I went through a box of five in about a year.
I’d of been like a rat up a drainpipe if these were dimmable

You can return them, but they change their ranges every few years then say you can't get a swap out

I got some from poundland land last about a month and then gone dim. Very poor quality. Got some LAP ones from screwfix they seem very good quality time will tell if they are any good but they do have a 3 year warranty.

Don't they give a refund in that case.

Yeah, but they used to replace individual bulbs for a refund you need to give back the whole pack of 4 - only 2 were dead and I needed the others in the light fitting as they all matched.
I bought this pack to replace the LAP 35w equivalent LED bulbs that come with there standard 10x fire rated down lights pack.

The Philips bulbs are much brighter at 50w equivalent. Overall much better for me so far.
