Seems a good price, heat added, although I notice the QC5530 model, which Tesco charge £35 for, is just £27 at Amazon. I wonder what the difference is between the two and whether the QC5530 is worth the extra.
I had a few hair clippers before i got this one and was amazed by the difference in comfort and ease cutting with this one compared to all the rest - these are the rolls-royce of the clipper world and this is a great price! Well spotted op.
I've got this clipper..... i dont use it anymore and only use it as a spare.
The problem with it, is that it doesn't cut short enough with the plastic guard on..... unless you take the guard off altogether, then you are bald.
I'd like to know whether the newer QC5530 is any better in this respect.
Slash

don't know much about this one but Philips QC5530 is water proof

The blades are washable under a tap. 'Water proof' is pushing it.
Good deal OP - here's some heat!
got this be carefull, gave myself a baldy patch:)
please read instructions carefully before use;)
Best clippers I've ever had, still going strong after 3 years. Excellent.

Got 1. thanks.
Great piece of kit for us 'almost' baldies. I use this without the guard on for a grade zero cut. Very good, reliable piece of kit. Thanks OP.
I bought these bad boys 3 years ago & worth every penny, paid for themselves many times over.

Damn this goes to 30mm how do I canx my order through tesco ?
reviews are mixed on amazon
I've got one and showed the wife the price. She's gutted paid loads more. These are perfect clippers. Recommend these
Excellent clippers. Don't understand the comments about controlling length; I've had no problems. There are 2 sets of plastuc guards for shorter and longer lengths.
Not water or rinse proof as far as I'm aware.
I've seen these in Tesco, Asda etc priced at over £60 before now.
I paid £20 for mine - £17 is a real bargain.

Just bought the superdrug ones as they are better and just 2.00 more
I bought mine over a year ago from Argos when they were redused to£20 or 25 looks same not sure about model etc... do a great job use mine with plastic bit on
Got one of these from Sainsburys about a month ago, £20, its good, you get two interchangeable clipper heads and a smaller trimmer head for, well I don't know what, but the best bit is the head can rotates 180 so you can get the back of your head, worth £17.50!

Questions, ask away.
I can't see any significant difference between these and the Superdrug ones - anyone?

The plastic spacers on this product are really flimsy. You have to be careful when clipping not to press too hard or the attachments flex giving you a shorter and patchy finish. I only used these once and then retrurned to my cheapo remington corded ones which are much better IMO. Good price tho if you really want them.
My son has these and loves them! Anyone know where I can get replacement spacers as we've lost the shorter one. Thanks
Got one, if you're a baldy like me, they're great, very close shave from the bareblade, real easy to hold, holds it's charge well, and although you wont use the twist of the head much, you will from time to time, and it'll be appreciated. good thought went into this... great product. seen em a good bit cheaper before, around the 13 mark, i got mine at 15from asda once upon a time. but pre-christmas this is a great deal, and worth the money for sure. from me.
Good item but worth paying the extra for the charging time, old ones take forever before being able to be used.

Get the newer version
I have my hair short but how do you do the bits at the back, as barber asks how you want it at the back graded etc... not even sure what it means lol but how do you do this if you cut your own hair? how do you get a straight line at the back and behind ears etc?
Edited by: "R-e-x" 11th Dec 2011
I always cut my own hair now but have to get someone else to make it straight at the back as I tried using 2 mirrors but it ended up wonky
These are good
Tesco showing as out of stock
I have had one of these for about a year and it is great. This is a great price, so heat added. I saw somebody asking about another model, I think I read somewhere that it has a different type of battery, maybe it lasts longer. I do two cuts with mine between charges and there is never any sign of it flagging. I wouldn't want it to run out half-way through, as it will not run directly from the power supply, only when the batteries are charged.
In stock again
Just ordered one from superdrug so I could use PayPal
