A HD kettle?

No ...Just a cute with a cute bleep when its ready.

We have this kettle and its the best we have had, only paid £20 from Littlewoods last year tho, wouldnt pay £40 for a kettle.

The keep warm and different tempreture settings are very handy

Been looking for the matching toaster for a year and still havent found one yet !

No kettle is worth £38.

£40 is not a bad price to pay if you have a nice kitchen and want something to match. Id hate to see your kitchen den169, I have a feeling its filled with White, basic range goods normaly found in Council Flats!

Thank you... Trigger Andy. I've had my fair share of cheap kettles, my last one was a Cookworks white kettle which despite wiping the outside of the kettle regular it became discoloured, looked as if it had been scorched, started flaking plastic where it was discoloured and the blue illuminated water window would flash. I know it should'nt have been doing that and then the switch went.
So looked for a new kettle. Range from £4.79 up to £50-£68.49 in the argos book. I would not have bought it at full price or the price at Amazon, but it really is a lovely kettle. Believe me it can sometimes be false economy to buy a £ 10 kettle unless you are prepared to pay the extra money for the replacement cover.

At the end of the day, this was my first post, I think its a good deal and it looks lovely in my new kitchen. Finishes it off nicely thank you.

Hot from me, good price for a great looking kettle.

what a self-indulgent post.
You really do get what you pay for when it comes to kettles.
Would you use tesco's own brand tools in your job? No, you'd pay hundreds for something that lasts- thats real economy.
Maybe you're bitter because most builders are currently out of work?:whistling:

Well posted OP - will be a good deal for many.

Nice discount on the kettle - but still a bit pricey for me though. Have to say I'm in deanos' camp - buy the best quality goods at the best price, hence I love this site. A good looking branded kettle reduced to £20-£25 in the sale is good for me. Can't believe this thread degenerated to ahem "council flat" stereotyping (sooooo unbelievably judgemental I had to re-read ) swiftly followed by "my house is bigger than your house". All unecessary really...

In my humble opinion cheaper kettles are normally found in the staff kitchens of big corporations.:giggle:

Yes, your right and I apologise for that remark.
I should have qualified it by stating that the only Council flats I have been in have been a disgrace and lived in by young people who are on the Dole and have not self respect. This does not reflect on the general population. So sorry again to anyone whom I have offended. (Apart from den169 who's a Fanny!:-D)
