Nice find

Heat Added

Paid £40 for a red one off eBay , really good for money .

Heat added and machine ordered

Infact Only problem with these is they do not get really hot , ur suppose to drink the coffee without milk oO

Heat added. Bought one of these 2 years ago, fantastic bit of kit and used two or three times every day. The coffee pads from Macro fit, if you have one near by.

Might be cheap but its not the best coffee in the world, worth paying more for another

I have found that most coffee machines don't seem to get the coffee hot enough, so I always pre-heat the cup with hot water which really helps.

I used to put the milk in the microwave for 30 secs. sorted!

Good price devs1978, would make a nice gift

Brill

Never had a problem with three Senseo machines and 'non-hot' coffee.
The instructions do suggest pre-heating milk/cup/mug - we do 10 secs for a standard Senseo cup, 15secs for a mug.

The HD7824 'Cafe' model is slightly better as has:
a) larger water reservoir, cutting down the refilling just a bit
b) descaling indicator & programme, rather than remembering to do it every 3 months max
but currently £10 more at Amazon/Argos.

FYI: John Lewis has been a good source of Citric Acid crystals for the descaling [2 x 50g required each time].

What capsules does it take? It isn't Nespresso, is it?

I think it's a really good deal. I wouldn't pay any more than this though.

Think it uses Douwe Egberts coffee pods. There are also pods available in Lidl- £1.69 for 16 which fit it.

Great price but not a very good machine. Still heat from me!

Back down to £24.99 with free delivery on amazon if you prefer.

i had one of these the coffee is rank. tassimo makes a better beverage for me. but heat added cheap

What's wrong with a coffee bean grinder and a cafetiere? Probably makes a much better cup of coffer than this thing!

I have one of these and use a coffe duck for it, that way you can choose your own coffee. Great Price Hot

same price at amazon

yes, i do exactly the same to mine, much better!

im after the square red one, hoping it will come down in price missed it last time x

pods quite often turn up in 99p store /poundland

Reserved - Thanks op

Thanks

It is a really nice machine - it makes good coffee if you use good coffee pads. And you can avoid paying the high price of the Senseo pads if you find a decent competitor. In France they sell lots of options in the store, here it is more limited.

I think some of the cartridge systems can produce slightly better coffee, but they are also a lot more expensive.

Wouldn't thank you for this.
They bafflingly get rave reviews.
In actual FACT the coffee is mediocre, expensive, and COLD
I'd personally like to thump all those who sung the praises of this which made me waste £45 on it a year ago
COLD

Don't know if this tip will work with this machine but with dolce gusto if you stop the water halfway through and wait for light to come back on then fill the rest of the cup it makes coffee hotter. Something to do with the pressure. Don't think the pump is as powerful as good coffee machines.

Chill out...

Might be a good idea to ease off the caffine

Buy a coffeeduck, use a coffee brand that you like, use warm milk like recommended. Problem solved.

Thanks, but did just that at the time.
Found coffee mediocre at best, and lukewarm (the warm milk did help, of course)
Ended up taking it to the local Dr Bernardos charity shop.
Advice is good, but problem wasn't solved !
