    they are completely different things.

if you are serious about the taste of coffee then you need to step up to machines like this.
Plenty of these in Risca extra. Also plenty of these hotukdeals.com/dea…515 I opted for the latter.

you are absolutely right there is just no comparison but I have given up explaining to people as I feel suicidal reading some of the cofee comments on here, buy a 15 bar espresso machine and your eyes will be opened like Neo in Matrix 1
    philips own Gaggia
Makes you wonder if using same parts

I went the senseo route. after a while it just produces pond water. using the coffee duck does not help either the coffee just comes out like toxic muck if you want anything half decent with a kick.

the pressure and heat is needed to release the aroma from the beans, which can only be achieved with machines like this!

I went back to drip style . but on the lookout for something like this, but no doubt i'll be chasing geese.
    Coffee machine snobbery, whatever next?
would rather drink cold nescafe than anything from this
I prefer an espresso machine. I own the senseo and sadly I did not notice that it was a 9bar machine with no milk frother (i know, silly me). Luckily I have a 15bar espresso machine too, just needs descaling.

Any of the machines will be better compared to **** instant coffee though.
    Just a 'few' hours?

That's over nine hours a day!

I'm starting to suspect that this might not be true.....

You also need to invest in a decent burr grinder. The quality of the grinder can make as much difference to the taste as the espresso pump.

    Not until it's on Wikipedia.
Of only it took Senseo pods/pads as well, like the Argos one - best of both worlds!

And before you jump on me, yes I know which is better!
15 bar is pony. You need 19 bar Nesspresso machine. You pay more but you get so much better espresso. Still good price for budgets and all that. Have some heat.

I have a Hario hand grinder and it's difficult to find the right grind!

Stuff that for a lark! Electric is the way to go. Although you'll get a decent workout with the hand grinder I guess.
