Can I use these to connect my freeview box to my toaster?

If its an old toaster you might only have a scart socket and no HDMI, switch it on until it glows red then stick your screwdriver into any part of the glow, if it goes boom you definately wont need an HDMI cable [and save yourself a quid, winning!].

These Philips hdmi’s are uselessas they don’t fit the Samsung phones so don’t bother wasting £1.

Samsung phones use micro USB or USB C.
Some tablets (e.g. Nvidia shield) have an micro HDMI port. My micro HDMI cable deffo doesn't fit into my S8!
Are these hdmi 2.0 compatible to carry 4k at a reasonable frame rate?
Wonder what the scrap metal value of these would be - all that 24k gold in the connectors - which as we know, greatly enhances the digital signal
Can you please tell me what store you found these in, OP?

Sorry bir

Wait, are these HDCP enabled? Cannot see clearly what’s on the package. Watch this space as it might not work on the newer devices e.g. new models AV receivers, blue ray players and other sources to new models TVs.

I think what you’re thinking of is an MHL cable which allows you to output direct from a phone to a TV. The connection looks exactly the same as a micro usb and at its other end is a full size HDMI male connector.

You mean is it a 'high speed' cable? Yes, it says at the top. Basically every HDMI cable manufactured since about 2010 is. It also has ethernet, which is pretty pointless.

Well they wouldn't seeing as Samsung phones don't have hdmi ports. But hey, they are useless as no one owns a device that does have one.

HDCP does not relate to cables, only ports on devices.
I can remember when I worked at Game I would always tell customers not to buy 'our' HDMI cables which were about £8 but go to poundland instead
Given that these are ‘with Ethernet’ cables (which is as good an indicator of speed as you get with the murky world of HDMI) you’ll almost certainly be fine running 4K through these. I’m using a cheap Amazon basics ‘with Ethernet’ cable that’s about 4 years old that’s happily carrying 4K with Dolby Digital HDR. Nice find.

And that's why they went bust
Who cares its a quid. Hot.
Some older PC Graphics Cards used to come with a Micro HDMI port. They do look similar to MicroUSB but aren't the same.
