Agreed, I bought one last week when it was £8. I've sent it back. No power and rubbish shave.
Save your fiver

Save your money.
Got to concur with the above, I bought this a week ago for 8 pounds too and it really was a terrible shave. Sent it back immediately. Just doesnt do what it is supposed to.
A good price... but for a terrible product sadly :x

I've got one of these. Don't think it's too bad, but i normally need to finish off the shave with my manual. USe it quite a bit though, when I can't be arsed with the whole wet shave experience. Worth a fiver in my opinion.

I am amazed Amazon allow these back used, for hygiene reasons...what are they going to do with them after they are returned?!?!

Sell them for a fiver :whistling:

I bought it for my father last year and he is very happy. HOTHOTHOT. H& R added.

lol. Ok alot of bad reviews and some good.

I'm looking for a new shaver, what would you guys recommend thats good without a big price tag.
Ideally £30 or less.

Bummer - bought the same one last week in Boots for just under £12 I think so this is a bargain. Keep it in my car and have a shave on the way to work if I hit the snooze too often and am running late. Good find

Wow at this price this is an ideal second shaver to keep in the glove box for when you only have time to shave at the traffic lights.

I've been using this on and off for a while now. No real complaints.
I always prefer to finish off with a quick wet shave, guess that's just me though.

Heat added.

Voted hot, just bought one for my nephew. I myself have used a similar but older one for more than 10 years. Reliable quality!

3 Good reviews on Amazon.
Heat added.
There are a lot of good reviews for the HQ40 Micro+ at £8.56.
That might be the better one to go for.

That really depends on the type of beard you have. People with lots of "cow-licks" find the Rotary shavers (Philips/Remington) give a better shave. Atherwise Braun is a very good make.

I agree, older Philips shaver were very good (and noisy).

However, I just bought a new Philips shaver (made in China!) and it is flimsy, lightweight and probably will not last 5 years, like my old one.

fine if you have skin like Shrek but otherwise useless !

bought one of these about 6 months ago from amazon for about £13, I have had 4 or 5 electic shavers over the years and have never used any one of them for more than a month - this is by far the cheapest and I have used it nearly everyday since I got it - the shave isnt as close as a blade but its close enough to look tidy for work, its fast and convienient, quick and easy to clean and batteries last ages (I am only on my second pair of batteries)

Instructions with electic shavers always say that it takes 30day for your face to get used to it and I have found this to be the case if you usually use a blade, I have sensative skin but find the shaver quite confortable

I have just order another one as a spare at this cracking price - Heat and Rep added

I bought this for £8 last week and didn't expect much. You do get a few whirrs and wobbles from the motors almost as though they are belt driven and slipping! However, for me - this is the cleanest electric shave I have ever had. It's far better than my 3-head £130 Philips. Far less irritation too. I always used to have to tidy up with a razor after an electric shave but not with this.

Electric razors are always going to divide opinion. Skin type, age, condition all play a part and there are a lot of variables. OK, it's not very powerful. However, for a fiver it could be worth a try. I bought it for travel purposes but it's now my main shaver!

I have one, it does the job

i prefer the foil type electric shavers myself

had this model for a few months - think it's rubbish personally, since replaced it with the braun cruzer2, amazon might still have it for £20 odd

Thanks for the post. I bought one just now. Can't go wrong for that price.

if the return is under the "not fit for the purpose it is sold for"
and in this instance this is NOT FIT unless you have a very soft beard. Ie you are quite young. The thickness of your beard hair does increase with age, it is also harder and less supple.
I found this could not deal with my stubble at all.. and was not fit for its purpose. Sadly.
But it is a great Price.
Dont understand having a dry shave with this and finishing with a Wet shave. :?
A wet shave is easier with a little longer stubble and always has been. 2 days growth is easier to soften and shave than shortend stubble surley...?

they're alright for bum fluff

Well I care a bit.
When it comes to returns you can return this item as used and not fit for purpose, they didnt quibble at all and the cost of recon or loss through destruction is bourne by the manufacturer in nearly every instance.
So yuck if you thought it was being resold.... :-(

Sorry but Sickobutt thinks he owns hotukdeals. I very much doubt that they resell them I would expect they dispose of them with the faulty ones.
