If your food processor has recently kicked the bucket - burnt out motor, broken bowl, etc - or you simply need one for your kitchen then I would highly recommend this one. I find it a good all rounder that is backed up by a worldwide guarantee from Philips - great if you're getting one as a gift for a relative/friend abroad or if you yourself are moving to greener (and hopefully sunnier/warmer) pastures.

I was unimpressed when I bought this during the black Friday sales. It feels very under-powered, although you can't expect much for such a low price.

The biggest problem was that the spice grinder became warm and clouded during use. I later discovered that it was a cloud of plastic that was being ground away from the attachment by the ill-fitting blade.

Maybe it was a one off.I haven't had any issues with mine. Have you tried getting it replaced under warranty?
I brought this a year or so back and it's brilliant. I make my kids fruit smoothies everyday with it. Can't complain
