Whilst browsing in ASDA queensferry yesterday I found this soundbar for £22.50 which seems like a very good price for this. Possibly national??

Hot from me

i think this is the basic model with no HDMI port. So unless you've got an alternative method (i.e. your TV has an optical out port) of getting sound to it, you might be taking it back.

Can't be too basic it says Bluetooth on the box...

It's got optical input

Connectivity is Bluetooth plus:
a DIGITAL IN-OPTICAL
Connect to an optical audio output on the TV or a digital device.
b AUX
Connect to an analog audio output on the TV or an analog device.
c COAXIAL
Connect to a coaxial audio output on the TV or a digital device.
d Audio input from a USB storage device.
e AUDIO IN
Audio input from, for example, anMP3 player (3.5mm jack)

(From the user manual on the Philips website).

Forgive my ignorance, but do these soundbars come with a separate sub woofer? If not, can they easily be connected somehow? The bass just can't be up to much if not, and the biggest improvement from my pov for films is some really deep base. Tia. Hot btw, thanks.

probably not able to connect a sub to this. i can't confirm. more expensive models come with separate subs. i have a Philips model number 5000-something. it's fantastic and has a wireless sub... But costs a great deal more than this.

Remember folks, this isn't the Phillips of old nor anything tho do with the company that makes Hue lights an white goods.

Phillips name for A/V was sold off the the East years ago now.

Yeah, but it's £22.50?

Yeah, you don't expect Bang & Olufsen quality when spending £22
