The problem with this sound bar is that it resets itself every time you turn it off so you have to adjust it when you put it back on.

what even on standby? As iv checked and standby use age on electric is next to nothing. Like under £1 a year.

Problem? How big a problem is that?? When I turn the lights off, I find I keep having to turn them back on at night, dreadful design.:-)

When you put your lights back on, do they go back to full power or do you have to turn them up?

To much cheap skate

I have a philips soundbar and its pretty good. They are fantastic compared to built in tv speakers (which seem to always be awful)

How many settings reset? Is it just volume level?

Shame no Bluetooth or would have jumped on this.

Probably a good design feature.

If you're watching a film full blast in the day then slip off at night to watch a bit of the good stuff it's going to be nice and quiet.

60 watts is not a lot of improvement on the tv speakers, spend a bit more and get something with at least 250 watts.

Must agree. I would have bought if it had Bluetooth also

Most TV's have only 5W speakers, so this is an imoporvement,

I had this exact model, I agree with 1st post as annoying that you have to re-set it ever time it comes back out of standby - ie Bass levels

Item is worth £50 of course & will improve the sound. however, I thought it too annoying & would recommend that anyone wanting a soundbar, should ideally get same brand as TV so that remote will work both

Lucky for me, Argos mis-advertised it when I bought it claiming DTS & therefore I had a no quibble return even after using it for 3 weeks & no packaging

No idea why someone expired this as still available.

Worth mentioning that philips customer care is excellent. My first soundbar developed a minor fault and they sent me a newer model without even asking for the old one back.

Are these better than home cinema systems? Doubt they wood be

Would be careful jumping on a soundbar.

It's not about the size (wattage?) it's what you do with it that counts

So this doesn't do DTS? I was going to connect it from my DTS capable TV through an optical cable.

250W?! You must be joking! The valve amp I use to gig with is only 100W. Do you run an open-air cinema or something?

No not joking at all, i have 300 watts, the soundbar is 160 and the subwoofer is 140, sounds ok in a medium size room.

He probably has one of those 1000w amps in his car that really only pump out 120w realtime

guitar amps are usually rated rms, and consumer audio gear at absolute nasty peak of distortion, which is 4x or 8x actual sensible power handling/rating.

Thanks. On the look out for a cheap/good sound bar. Heat added.

Looks like this cracking deal is out of stock now. Rather miffed that the wife didn't think we should get one

Just recirved mine and set it up. Very happy with it. Clear and not to loud to annoy the naibours. Put it with my 50" emotion so full kit for £365. Not bad at all.

I feel conned by Argos-outlet. I received the item but it looks like its a refurbed/returned item as the box i opened and damaged.
