Excuse me, I’ve got two Sony Tvs, three Samsung soundbars, two Xbox one S’s and 12 months ps live subscription from this site. I still have no idea what good any of them are, but I know I’ve bagged a bargain somewhere

If you’ve got a load of Nectar points too you’re laughing.
What are these actually good for?

I got this from Amazon.es for £52 the other week and it includes the 1m extension kit. No idea what I'm going to use it for... Probably will end up in the bay

How? Each 500 points is worth £2.50? Isn’t it?

Yeah but still, I travel a lot for work, as do others, I soon rack up a decent amount of Nectar points, I got £25 off my Echo with them.

I've got 5m to use as under counter lights around our kitchen cupboards and link them to a motion sensor so when we go in there at night were not fumbling for a light switch. The motIon sensor also monitors light levels to only turn them on when its dark.

We also plan to add a light strip behind our corner sofa, this is more of a aesthetic thing rather than functional for some cinema style lighting

The motion sensor is able to turn lights on automatically when it gets dark? Or do you have to tell it sunrise and sunset times?

Yes both options available.
Yeah all fully configurable to suit your requirements
Think I'll get some sensors and put them around the house and do away with physical switches

You can but you'd need a Philips Hue Hub I think

The temp sensor is great, I just don’t get why it’s a feature but isn’t available in the official Hue App. You need a 3rd party app like iConnectHue.

Can you run triggers off it ? I see it gives a reading in Apple HomeKit. I played about with the API and it is trival to get the temperature data. I may try sending temp databack to a web database.

No the Philips Hue Motion Sensor, they pick up the temperature in iConnectHue but not in the Hue App. Must be in development or something.

If you are an Apple user it shows up in HomeKit as well.

Hey there, this is exactly what I'm aiming for, what size is the TV and guessing you just stick this on the back? Was it difficult to hide the cables?

Thanks!

It's a 65" you'll need a light strip and two extensions. A 55" would be a light strip and one extension.

Very simple to run cables in the wall, loads of YouTube videos with instructions

That's actually a very poor use of nectar points and personally I see them as basically cash so to me what you've said is "if you have lots of money, you're laughing"
