Has anyone used any of the cheaper, WiFi only light strips? I'm looking for a couple, one for a bedroom and another to wire into a 12v motorhome.

I’ve got a Yeelight one I got cheap last year, not as good but hooks up to Alexa fine and does the job, doesn’t have the same colour reproduction as my hue strip but depending on what it’s for it does the job, pretty sure I got it for about £15 delivered in a Xmas deal last year.

Was £49.99 a couple of months ago, so I’ll personally wait for Black Friday as it’s not an urgent purchase...
Does this include the hub?

Osram 5m work with hue bridge around £60 kwid I paid .. they are also waterproof . Although I bought 2, a section of one has slightly burnt out changed colour (whatever the term is) but when using some colours it’s fine but definitely works with hue bridge and app
Anyone looking for other cheaper bulbs to work on the Hue system may find simple functionality available via apps like changing colours, dimming and switching on and off but unfortunately the ‘entertainment’ mode (which sells Hue to me) can’t be used with anything but official Philips Hue lightbulbs. Just thought I’d warn you as I never realised this until I tried it myself and not many people mention this in their videos / tutorials online.
Rinsed.

The lights can sync with films (or your ambilight TV content) or anything streamed through your computer using the Philips Hue Sync app.

Ah ok, so dependent on either of those, of which I have ...none
