I don't know if you need it or not
Becomes a pain when you have a fan linked to the switch. Anyone know of any easy fixes that don’t involve re-wiring?
Looks like a good discount, but I don't see why anyone would get this rather than using hue bulbs in a bathroom suitable fitting.
I voted cold on the one premise that it's £108.99 for a bathroom light. That does not represent a deal to me.
I love having a bath with the lights dimmed
How long do you spend in a bathroom? Waste of money imho

Save money on electric but spend loads on hot water and this light. You could save a fortune by have a shower and leaving the light you have in there alone, lol.
Only joking, your money, your choice.

Thank you for that - hadn't even thought about this and it acts as a suitable deterrent against me otherwise splurging £110 on this!

A fan is an issue as this would need to be always connected to a live. I ended up having a single hue GU10 bulb wired in permanently (with an isolator) so i can turn it on with a motion sensor when the kids get up in the middle of the night and need some help with their aim. My better half also likes the dimmed light in the bath

Light for your movements.

We’ve bought a fan with a humidity sensor but perhaps that’s near enough the equivalent of rewiring...
@BlindBaker @Gibsie @jaymzie007 I got around this problem by putting a plug on the live fan circuit and plugging it in to an Eve smart plug. I run a simple automation that turns the fan on/off when the Hue lights in the bathroom are turned on/off. Works like a charm and almost zero rewiring.

Best thing since sliced bread. . Got it for my garden tree lights (using a fob in the house to turn them on) Also have one in a bathroom that would have required ripping the tiles out. Great invention and fairly cheap. tlc-direct.co.uk/Pro…BwE

This is a risk we’ll have to take! There are windows and candles and sprays available for that kind of sh*t

It’s the age old hukd debate but the only factor should be “is this the best price for the item in question?” - ultimately this site shows interested buyers the best price... people searching for this bathroom light, who want a hue bathroom light, now have reduced visibility of this price (which is the best price) because you don’t believe that a bathroom light should cost this much.

In the grand scheme, do likeminded voters not undermine the purpose of this site?
How much capitalistic greed, £108 for a bathroom ceiling light?

Capitalism is good, but filling pockets of the top <1% of the world is crazy....

There's is over $1 quadrillion derivatives contracts out there. More than 10 times world GDP and your biggest concern is the price of a bathroom light.

That is a ridiculously stupid thought process. What on earth do you think the <1% of the worlds wealthiest people should do with their full pockets of money? They spend it on higher quality luxury products. Also there will always be a wealthiest <1%, because that's just how statistics work. The conclusion of your simple minded world view is that, Philips should just stick to making really cheap simple light bulbs, at near to zero profit. Therefor because you are <10% of the world's wealthiest and cannot afford a £108 light fitting, nobody else should be able to buy that.

No, as it's a stupid price for a bathroom light. However that is my opinion, and I am allowed to have one, the same way that you are entitled to have yours. That's what separates us from becoming Orwellian. Agree to disagree, move on.

I quantify a deal objectively based off its baseline price and the price being posted. A watch that sells for £50K everywhere being advertised at £10K, that is hot to me and the watch enthusiasts can grab their bargain.

You vote based off of your personal opinions and feelings.

Since my previous rant didn’t appear to land, I doubt this will either. But I’m of the fairly strong opinion that this site needs to figure out a way to manage personal vendettas against products and companies.
