What would be a good price for just one of these bulbs?

A fiver would be a great price. I'd buy a whole bunch for that price.

I think Philips shot themselves in the foot with Hue in some ways. Not here to complain about the expense but rather that I think supply and demand would work pretty favourably for Philips if they brought it out of reach as a luxury product. It's the difference of having a few bulbs for main rooms and readily converting every light-fitting.

Some people do shell out and replace all their bulbs including GU10s, throw in some Hue lamps and light-strips. But I think many more would do the same by a landslide margin if prices were approximately half what they usually are. I'd expect revenue would outweigh the smaller return on each unit pretty considerably.

But then again I'm not a business graduate and they could actually be in the right spot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Yeah will do. You set them up on the TV to the position in the room they will be.
