These should be £10.
More Hue confusion.

Zoom in on B&Q's pack photo and you'll see this is an "extension bulb" and uses Zigbee.

Read until the end of B&Q's description and find

  • This Hue lightbulb is to be used alongside the Hue starter kit as a Hue Bridge is needed to connect to your wireless network.

Deal description should make clear that this needs a Zigbee/Hue hub ("bridge") before it can be used.

Only Phillips' Hue 'Bluetooth' bulbs can be used without needing a hub.

If you don’t know what you are buying, then that would be your problem. It is not confusing at all really.
Same price in Argos for second gen

Not MY problem, but I am highlighting that it seems to be for others, for example hotukdeals.com/com…281

And I think that the confusion is stirred by statements like
  • Smart home compatibility - Compatible with iOS, Android, Alexa & Google Home
without ANY mention of a hub/bridge being required for THIS product. Especially when there are OTHER "Hue" products do NOT require a hub/bridge.

This one at B&Q is the ambiance bulb, the 2nd gen equivalent at argos is 24.99 atm. The title appears to be wrong.
Links to a regular warm white bulb for £15 which is a pretty pants deal.....
Any cool white Bluetooth hues knocking about?
