Edit - price dropped even further!!!! £9.99 for 1 bulb and then £19.99 for three!!!

If you guys bought the amazing deals on the Philips hue kuts on Amazon on Black Friday - you may want some extra bulbs.

I was going to buy them from John Lewis but the ES fitments were out of stock at £14.99 each or 3 for 2 at £29.99 for three bulbs.

Well, Amazon has matched the offer today at £24.99 for three!! Awesome!

Good deal. I cancelled my JL order on Sunday morning and ordered via Amazon thus saving myself 30 quid plus next day delivery!

Is there anything special about the white bulbs? I know you can control like with other hue things but wondering if they are worth more than just being a dimmer you can control with your phone.

hot. discount applies at checkout, not in basket

If I didn't need a bridge as well for Google Home then I would be a lot more tempted.

There’s nothing special as such it’s just convenience. I bought the starter pack for the kids rooms last year and then over the course of the year started noticing how “nice” it would be if I could dim the light in the toilet during the night etc... when maplins did the double packs of white 3 for 2 earlier in the year I caved lol. Less than £100 kitted our every other room in the house in white bulbs (ended up costing £8.22 a bulb, a decent LED bulb is £3-£4 anyway so I thought the little extra for Smart was worth it).

Also working on the BC type bulbs. Discount applied at checkout

This was already posted a couple of days ago? I know it was for BC.. but still..

Hot anyway..

Thanks OP, quite a few other single hues on 3 for 2 offer, ambience, colour etc.

will these work with a ST hub or do I need a hue hub?

They work directly with ST. You have to tinker in IDE but they work (as do Hive bulbs sans hub, if you did the British Gas offer thing.)

Its a good deal as it includes the E14 bulb, which is otherwise expensive for lamps. 3 for £50. Just ordered, thanks for the heads up.

I agree, cheapest way I've ever seen for the E14 bulbs, and they are the white ambiance for a full range of whites, cold blue, warm white etc

These are not white ambience. They’re priced at £24.99 each.

discount also applies to twin pack which are £22 each = 6 bulbs for £44 which is £7.30 a bulb, bargain now just need me a hub

Ordered. Nice one.

i got mine from currys on black friday deal 3 for 2 plus 2 year guarantee as well

Can someone point me to an overview of what we need to make this work?

Good price, have some heat!

Nooooooo damn you HUKD. I was trying to avoid buying more Hue. Now I feel compelled.
At least I can darken the room to suit my new mood. Just can’t afford the colour bulbs to match my spend this month.

The bulbs and the hue bridge or an echo plus

I think for those of you ordering, you need to make sure you're getting what you think.

The newest model of these bulbs is the "richer colour" variant which is inevitably the more expensive version. Many of the twin packs on the search page of Amazon aren't the right variant. You might be getting the v2 of the bulb instead of the v3.

Getting bought the hub for my birthday in a lot, and already bought a kit, so have a spare hub if anyone fancied buying cheaply??
