I just don't get it. It's just a bulb - I can use a switch to turn it on, …I just don't get it. It's just a bulb - I can use a switch to turn it on, rather than a voice command. Is this whole thing a first world problem?

It's not just a bulb, it has other features. You can read up on them.

The thing is it's a 33% saving. If you're not into them, then that's ok. But for anyone that is or wants to be, then it's a deal.

Must dash, I'm just getting the hot water off the log fire to fill the tub up for our family's monthly bath in the scullery. Now where did I put that candle.

It’s actually on all Hue bulbs, not just the colour ones. Even the twin packs are included 🏻

People voting cold on this are clueless.

good deal.

Watch out on the twin pack of ambiance bulbs for £24.99 - this is an Argos cock up that they aren't fixing on the web. If you order you will get standard white ones and then have the pain to return them.

The problem comes when none of the stores hold 3 in stock as is the case with the GU10 twin pack.

Can't even get three delivered

good deal. title needs edited though as all bulbs are included

25000 years
Can someone confirm this when we reach this.

Ohh Bulb has 25k years VS lamp 25k hours, I bet you would struggle to find a lamp on its on today let alone a decade after.

Try Maplin if Argos is oos, the 3 for 2 has been on there for a while.

Shame it'snot on the motion sensor

Crazy price for a bulb..... Check out some alternatives plenty out there

yeah most aren't bright enough, tried loads

Too bad you have to buy the same bulb. My current flat has loads of different fittings 😑

Completely get the opinion however I don’t know of a solution that is as flexible or slick as the hue - as yet. Sure we will see some more but the competitors - hive cones to mind - are not really any cheaper. If you want a Controlled set of lights that supports tons of fittings, different lamps, motion sensors and switches then I can’t see another option all in one system happy to be corrected though

I want some E14 type but just can't bring myself to pay £33 per bulb.

Out of stock when I try to order 9 x GU10's.

Maplin accepted my order on Saturday for over £350 worth of kit. Took payment then contacted me Wednesday to say no stock and I will get money back in 3-5 days.

You can get adapters for the E14 fittings.
I just want a couple for lighting up a couple of units in my living room.
Even with the E14 adapters the E27 bulbs wouldn't fit so ideally need these.
Not paying that much though...jeez

Ikea white ones are £7. I need one for the light at the side of my house but all the bulbs at the moment have old firmware on them and need updating with a Tradfri Gateway to work with Hue.

RGBW however, yeah not much choice really.

I would actually not recommend these adapters. I bought 2 for £4.00 as i went for higher quality. But i am having issues with hue bulbs flickering and a quick google search revealed that it is a common issue with these adapaters as they do not provide 100% wattage to bulbs

Thats mental, the wife would kill me if she found out I'd paid that.

I have a mix of bulbs from £10 Xiaomi ones to Phillips hue. Value for money the Xiaomi ones win hands down, but for build and light quality few come close to the Phillips. I use the Phillips bulbs as main lighting and cheaper ones in smaller lamps or outdoors

I have to agree, had some for a while, a solution looking for a problem. I still use them in lamps where often the switch is an arse to get to, but for rooms a switch by the door is a great solution, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Lamps! Not Bulbs.....

Lamps glow and bulbs grow ;-)

You can buy the starter pack with hub on Amazon for £119.99. Sell the hub for £25 + postage (like I did) which makes it a better deal IMO

I know. It's like those people walking around in a £50 plus pair of Levi's when they can get exactly the same effect for £6 from Asda. It's madness.

I can ask Alexa to turn on sexy time in my bedroom which makes the whole room go red. You can't put a price on that.

Typical Argos offer. No stock. I want 9 GU10s. Nowhere seems to have more than 2 in stock, let alone 9. Out of stock for delivery, too. Been like this all week (been checking every day).

No colour b22 bulbs in stock anywhere but got 6 b22 ambience in stock for £99 plus another 10% off with my credit card. £15 per bulb isn’t bad for hue bulbs
