    Yes you can, but don't expect it to work after a while on the battery. The ones I have are a few years old and do not work if not plugged in now. I suspect the constant charging knackered the battery

    Ooh I switched to my second (much older by 10 years) account and there's a 10% off voucher. I've got thousands of purchases in my main one and no offers but the older one gets these from time to time. Definite purchase now.

    yeah the cover plate just sort of snaps back in sort of like a lens in to …yeah the cover plate just sort of snaps back in sort of like a lens in to a sunglasses frame. I remember finding it hard to see what is inside hue stuff on the internet without opening up your own stuff so here is this one at least. Explains a bit why you get such nice colours and dimmability, it isn't just a square grid of rgb and an on switch.


    Indeed, it's why wrgb lights beat RGB, having dedicated lights for white or shades of it can have great advantages vs. cost and overall light output.
