Works on the White Ambience too if you click on them, works out at ~ £16 / bulb which isn't bad. Problem is I need 9!
The hue website has 20% off and you can get 14.5% from top cashback

But not cheaper though cashback is a plus though, if they payout

Bite the bullet and get them bought, at least they never need replacing. Or you could always buy some now then wait for another deal and get more then ?

Where’s the link for the gu10 ambiance? Looked and a pair is coming out £39.99?
I just put 4 ambiance ones in the bathroom along with a hue dimmer switch. I think it's worth extra for them. The energising light is fantastic on them.
Plus if you have a Nectar card you can use your points to bring the price down further !

Found it, it doesn't say White Ambience on the title that's why I couldn't find them. Here it is the link if anyone's looking - argos.co.uk/pro…538

Only works out cheaper than Amazon if you buy them in pair. For instance, if you need 6 bulbs you're better off buying 2 pairs from Argos and one pair from Amazon
Anyone know if this can be used in a porch area with a sensor? What would I need?

Don’t see why not I have just put them In the garage up and down lighters. Not bothered with a sensor on them just using the sunset and timed off setting within the app, not sure if the hue sensor is ok outside but if your porch is fully enclosed I dont see why not
Do we need bridge to get these working with Alexa or will Alexa app sort it?
Ordered the white ambiance ones, cheers.
Do I need Bluetooth ones? My others aren’t
The ikea tradfri smart bulbs are £6 for gu10 warm white and £12 each for the gu10 warm/cool (ambience equivalent), they pair with hue, echo plus, ikea tradfri hub and any other zigbee hubs. Much better value for the same thing without the Phillips badge.
Think they are all Bluetooth now, think it’s so you no longer need the bridge, don’t quote me though

Apparently not, but you won’t get the full features of Hue without the bridge

Then yes, to get the full features of hue then you need the bridge, there are always good deals on the set up packs though

Yes, I have 5 in my kitchen working fine with hue bridge and hue dimmer

£10 is for the white, not ambience, read comments above
Can these be used in a bathroom? Presumably not?

Yes they can be used anywhere you have a light bulb, currently i have a sensor and a true colour bulb in my bathroom, nothing better than relaxing in bath with the room the colour of your mood !

Are they recommended for bathroom use in high humidity is really what I meant. A quick google tells me they should be in an appropriate light fitting.

I think the people who installed my shower room with a bog standard GU10 light fitting didn’t consider the humidity.
Well mine has been in there since they came out and I’ve had no issues with it ever ! It’s not a gu10 but a bayonet. The light is always on and controlled by the sensor. Obviously if it’s not suitable then don’t do it but like I said mine has been in for years
For Zigbee “white ambience” equivalents look at the Osram Smart+ and Osram Ledvance series from Amazon - cheaper than Hue and (honestly) just as good.

The only problem is that they are not firmware updatable via the Hue Bridge. You need an Osram Lightify bridge for firmware updates.

Osram also support Google Assistant and Amazon Echo.
Anecdotally, my tradfri GU10s have failed after just one year (flicking and some leds constantly lit whilst supposedly "off"). I have traditional cheap GU10s in other parts that are on/off more often and on for longer. These are still fine. Don't have Hue GU10s but Hue bayonets still doing well.

If I was to buy more I would stay clear of tradfri and stick with Philips Hue. Just my two cents.
Listed as only 1 item available in all nearby stores. Same when trying to order to be delivered - in stock if I choose 1, but OOS with 2.
they sell quite fast when they are on offer, they had loads in stock in a lot of stores close to me when I posted the deal.

I'll keep an eye out, hopefully they'll get more in
Ended up buying from AO instead. £5 off when buying two which ended up being £43 with free shipping. Not quite as good as this deal.
