Sorry if this is a stupid question but I think these could be ideal for my bathrooms.

Is it correct that I would need to do something with my extractor fans to stop them being on continuously (given the lights are technically always on with Hue)?

In an ideal world it would be great if my extractor fan could stay on for 30 minutes or so after showering, but I really don’t want to have to change my extractor fans to make these lightbulbs work as desired. Not just yet anyway.

My bathrooms do have a switch that would allow me to manually turn it on and off independently of the lights but currently the fan remains on for a while after the lights are switched off, before the fan turns itself off a few minutes later.

If anything I would rather the fan stayed on for much longer than it currently does to avoid damp, but having to manually flick a switch after a shower would in many ways be a downgrade to get smart smarting. (edited)

This is the sort of thing you need. Look for a "smart relay".

Then create a routine. Something like "alexa shower start" . This can turn lights on and put the fan on an timer.

Then "alexa shower stop". Just turns the lights off.

With this you can also go into the room, turn the light on without the fan starting if you want to. (edited)

Heard some IKEA lights also work with the hue bridge, has anyone got this setup and got any advice? I need about 20 so IKEA may be a good choice for value if it works well with the hue bridge I'm thinking

I have Hue, Innr and IKEA bulbs all working via the Hue Hub. Generally works perfectly - sometimes the non hue bulbs can be non-responsive, but normally fine. Pretty easy to set up - lots of good YouTube guides.

If you don't need to switch individual bulbs or change colour temperature, much cheaper to get a smart dimmer and use regular dimmable LEDs. Have used a few of these (albeit out of stock at the moment) or there are other options with either a dial or compatible with a retractive switch. The Samotech one is even Hue compatible so appears as a Hue bulb in the app.

Apart from being OOS this looks good.
Neutral not needed is a bonus.
Strange that the photo looks like there are two in a 2 gang, but the description says use in a one gang. Would be ideal if I could set it up in a 2 gang as one switch is the lights and another is the fan.

I recently picked up 8 white ambiance for just under £100 to replace these. They did the job but the ambiance are much better if you can find a deal.
