For those who want to buy the hub without the bulbs, this offer has a motion sensor thrown in (usually priced at £35). It's a 'Deal of the Day' so ends at midnight on Friday.

Ordered with Prime! Cheers OP.

Or for the people that want to buy the motion sensor and offset with the sale of a hub

is the motion sensor plugged into a wall socket? also, is the motion sensor light sensitive so does not come in during the day time?

Excuse my ignorance (i'm new to this having just bought a couple of Amazon Echo's)... why would someone want this without bulbs?

Isn't the hub to connect said said bulbs together/to your device?

This works out cheaper if you want to combine the hub with standard ambience bulbs and/or already have something like the starter kit and you just want the motion sensor, as you could sell the hub for 20-30 squids.

Ah right, got you.

Having Hive installed already I think i'd be better off opting for those (or cheaper ones from Gearbest etc that work with Amazon Echo) to reduce the number of hubs and stuff I have!

Item does not ship to N.Ireland. Bizarre, considering I was able to order the starter kit

Anyone know if these sensors will work with the V1 bridge please?
I have both but have the V1 already set up and was going to give my V2 bridge that came with sensor to a family member.
Appreciate any help, thanks

Doesn’t take long to set up, so why not keep the newer model for yourself!? Not sure what advantage it brings though, but that’s what I would do.

We only have smartphones in our home but my relative has an iPhone that's why I was planning on giving him the V2 as the V1 isn't iPhone compatible
